Nope. Believe it or not I've tried it and even after giving my wife 6mg instead of 24mg she ended up buying a pack at the store. It needs to be a gradual thing while your body adjusts to not having all the other junk inside of it. Of course YMMV![]()
Can't be a placebo if they know the actual concentration![]()
Im curious what the outcome will be.
The placebo effect should work to some degree, just because of the other part of the cigarette addiction, i.e. hand to mouth, sucking in, exhaling, etc. But no, the body will know it isn't getting nicotine, Gradual is the best way. My husband went from 18mg to 6mg as I did without ever being told. I told him from time to time that he had decreased. He has never noticed the difference. He also has never refilled a carto or charged a battery. His ecig just works everyday; that's all that he cares about!!
Guess you won't know until you try it. I know every time I cut back on Nic I crave some. I started off with 24mg, then 18, then 12, my orders that are coming are 6 and 8mg. I alway keep one carto full of the higher nic to drag a couple puffs off of if I get a strong craving. Everytime I order I go down on my Nic so once I finish the 18, 12mg I will start my 6 and 8s. My next order will be 0. Hoping I can achieve this goal. I try not to think about what nic level I am vaping, I just try to enjoy the flavors.
I can almost guarantee that if you vape lower nicotine you'll end up vaping more. Our bodies are pretty good at self regulation.
Not that it's any big news to us addicts, but they're now even admitting that patches are unsuccessful when you stop using them. So no, it's not in your head.
