Do you think vaping causes throat clearing?

VG can be a contributer to slight throat congestion, it's not harmful and to fix, drink lots of water and don't forget to swallow.

Ty for sharing.

Yes..I only drink water after I go to bed..and wake up with dry mouth...then drink water like a fiend...but I have found if I drink all day...my dry mouth is not so much a problem...and MAYBE my throat clearing would not be a problem either...but, like smoking...I am an IDIOT..and spend all day vaping and all night drinking water...

I think it's called Idiocracy...they did a whole movie about it...staring ME (not really)

I noticed throat clearing a few weeks after it cleared up initially from stoping the stinkies but it's gone away now for the most part.

Sometimes I find a juice I lung inhale a lot and that seems to cause a bit more throat clearing. Even with that, I don't have the smoker's cough and constant throat clearing that I used to experience.

PG and VG are humectants and hygroscopic (have an affinity for water), they both attract and hold it, so throat build up is what to expect, and think of ot this way, your own body will actively produce flegm, this catches and holds foreign particles (a natural defense system), PG has anti bacterial properties, so this 'build up' you sense is similair (but an exagerated) form of 'first line defense' for your trachea.
If it seems excessive-the reasons might be, lots of vaping, humid cooler air, not enough flushing (drink water), or a dusty air (hence viscosity).
Nothing to be concerned about-just drink more water, and swallow oftener er.

When I first started vaping, I had to clear my throat constantly; that went on for about a week, then I was getting very productive coughs. It's as if years of lung congestion has been finally been cleared out.

I still clear my throat from time to time, but it's been less and less.

Wait until your lungs REALLY start cleaning out the gunk from smoking. It can takes weeks, or months for it to start happening. Your lungs will just up and decide it does't want all that tar in there anymore...

For me it was the opposite - i cleared my throat pretty constantly when smoking - more so than I really even knew, I'm sure.
It stopped within a week or so of switching to vaping instead of cigs.

Could be a remnant if you were recently still smoking - or it could be a VG/PG reaction. Maybe play with your ratio and see if something else doesn't cause it.
