Ok totaly nob question but i tried a search and could find anything without haveing to search hundreds of threads lol. SO here is my question.

How do you know a carto is DOA without using it?

Also is a carto bad when you are taking a drag and the vape is very hot? New or used?

Dual coil? Low Res? VV device? Long hard drags, short soft drags? We need more info.. even then, we may not know...

I use Dual coil LR cartos, alone and in tanks. I take long easy drags and yes, it does heat the metal or plastic tips I use. It should.. I'm heating that thing up! I have found that the silicone or rubber drip tips do not tend to heat up as much. They don't conduct the heat the same way.

Single coil SR provari med drags lol in a tank. I asked because i only get that once in a while. Same cartos just while most give great vape with no real heat exchnge to the tip and others from the same batch give off excessive heat.

DOA would be a coil that is not properly connected. It just wouldn't fire. As for the hot vapor. That carto has been over filled.

Not technically accurate, but I call a bad carto (for any reason) a DOA. Whether the ohm reader states "no connection" or a widely off ohm reading, to a super bad/harsh taste I call it DOA. Same end result - it's unusable and needs to be pitched out.

As for the comment above about an over-filled carto causing hot vapor, where the heck did you get that idea?:laugh:

Ask a vendor what a DOA carto is ????

Overfill a carto and take a hit, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
