I'm sorry to say I haven't watched it yet. Watching it on Saturday nights wasn't convenient for me, so I recorded all the episodes for later viewing.

I know it's a terrible thing to say, but this whole season didn't do anything for me, to the point that I've only watched three episodes. It all just seems so flat. All the shocking pizzazz seems gone.

To be fair, the River Song arc was such a masterpiece that we can't expect to see anything like it ever again, anywhere, but this whole thing with Clara wouldn't rank, with me, as above average in any case.

I can't blame you. The season starts off ROUGH! Like... bad honestly.

I couldn't get into any of part A of season 7. Part B also starts off a little rocky, BUT the thing with clara (which isn't as exciting, I wont lie) does get explained and is pretty clever!

Also there is a fun ep were the kids she house sits get to go with The Doctor on a trip! So thats kinda fun!

Lastely the cliff hanger (which if your on reddit at all im sure has been spoiled for you) but its pretty interesting and it looks super promising for the future! ......That is. If they do it right.

But I agree, alot of the magic was lost this season. 5-6 have been my favorite!

Started horribly, but picked up. Going to be very interesting to see how they pack another major arc with Clara, or if she's going to be a quick companion like Martha. I am scared/glad about something we are finally going to see though, something fans since the first Doctor have wondered....

SPOILER NOTICE *Read the following only if you've either season the series 7 finale or accidentally heard about the big twist* as River would say...

[SPOILERS]

With the unsurprising, and I say unsurprising because it was always suspicious that the "9th" Doctor was just seeing his new body, reveal of the true 9th Doctor, we know that Matt Smith is actually playing the 12th Doctor. For the longest time we thought the 13th Doctor would be the last, but then we learned in The Sarah Jane Adventures, that the Doctor can actually regenerate pretty much forever. Does this mean we are now one step closer to actually getting a technical answer to why he claimed he could only regenerate 12 times before?

I can't wait for the 50th episode. I plan on re watching every episode (what netflix had)between now and then. And plan on requesting that night off from work just because I believe BBCAMERICA will have a full days worth of special stuff going on.

If I could swear here, it would me much easier to express my... thoughts... on them not putting Captain Jack in the 50th.

In reply of the spoiler question...

[SPOILERS SWEETIE]
Matt Smith had a cameo in Sarah Jane's (RIP) spinoff about having unlimited regeneration.

Was John Hurt's Doctor ever confirmed to be 9? As far as I understood, it was just speculation.
[/SPOILERS]

AS for this season... not my favorite.
I'm not a huge fan of this version of Clara.
I was in love with souffle girl & Miss Montague. Present Clara is a bit... lacking.

Probably the best thread to just leave this here.
My MVP with a very special wrap on it.
And yes, my MVP is now bigger on the inside. ;)

HA!

As far as I understood, it was just speculation.

Im pretty sure its still speculation, but its a very good theory that's probably true.

I hope the 50TH doesn't disappoint! haha

[SPOILERS]

As far as the whole "Hurt" stuff, I am pretty excited to see what they do with it all.
All the theories seem easy enough to see actually happening, but that being said... Muffit aways seems to like to pull the carpet up from under us as soon as we think "We've got it".

Hopefully Smith goes off with a bang as well! Im going to miss him.

Moffat said he auditioned for 11, but it wasn't right. I wonder why/how it is now?
Is he darker? More serious? If so, is it because of the storyline they're working on with John Hurt?
WHY do we have to wait another year?!

I picture the nuWHOs as a scale. Eckleston serious, Smith goofy, Tennant a blend of the two in the center. Peter I feel will be able to smoothly play the range laid out by Eckleston through Smith, with a healthy dose of the third Doctor. It seems a lot of people are thinking he is going to be darker, and he may for a bit depending on how recent events play into his regeneration, but I think he is going to wind up more like Tennant/Smith than people think. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he actually wound up much more like Smith but with a more witty mature nature to his goofiness.
