I have both. There is no comparison as one is not a mod (not to me really...but many ppl call it a commercial mod) and the other is a pure mod.

If you only want to be atomizer dependent the Screwdriver (if you like it) is the way to go. It can pack almost 1000 mHa battery (and you can have as many as you like).

Trog had a real deal and i bought 2 for the price of 1... My wife is puffing the eGo right now...and i just have my SD hanging from my neck. Carry it to the beach without a care...I have other mods, but i don't wanna scratch or losing them. And the SD is the only one that looks cool on your neck.

With a LR atty it performs great. But if protection is an issue you might wanna try some other mods. Or get the SD MKII that carries protected batteries.

I own both and to take it farther, I own 3 510 ScrewDriver MKIs and one MKII that I converted to a 510 myself. I love the SD. Now I just recently traded another mod I had for a tornado and have been using it for a couple weeks now. This week I used it a lot at work to see if I liked it. My take is this:
1. The Tornado/eGo runs at ~3.2v and has a cone. The SD batts come off the charger @4.2v and run at ~3.7v. This is good AND could be bad. I never have harshness on the Tornado, but sometimes that same atty may be harsh on the SD. The current is higher through the atty and it burns a little hotter on the SD. The cone keeps my draw very consistent also with the TorneGo it has a more mild vape for a 510. This is only IMO.
2. The Tornado/eGo battery life is actually on par IMO compared to my SD's. I believe this is because the output is regulated.
3. The TorneGo is actually very easy to carry with a lanyard. I use the same lanyard as with what comes with the SDs. I loop it around the batt connection below the cone and screw the cone on it to hold it. Very convenient. I pocket or also use a lanyard for my SD's. Not as convenient but almost.
4. The MKI SD uses batteries I can get almost anywhere and the MKII the batteries are a little harder to find, but they are MUCH cheaper then the TorneGo batteries. I love the TorneGo, but hate the cost of those batteries.
5. The USB quick charger is very nice with the TorneGo. Not really available for the SD... However, since the batteries are so much cheaper I have a ton of them for my MKI SDs.
6. The SD is SUPER reliable and time proven. The TorneGo battery switch has had some issues and again replacing the batt/switch can add up.
7. The TorneGo is less conspicous then the SD other then the light on the button. It is a little more "classy". But the SD says, hey I am a serious vaper!

So it depends. If I am wearing nice clothes or going out to dinner, I probably take the TorneGo. If I am just doing my daily stuff, well I like my SD's. Then there is all the other mods I have... some I really love, others are just OK. But they all have their use. I have found both the SD and TorneGo to be very good, and now usually recommend the TorneGo as a first kit. Unless the SD is on sale!
