does 36mg juice offer smokers the best chance of quitting?

I'm trying to get a few smoking buddies of mine to vape. They smoke at least a pack a day currently. I wonder if I should start them off with 36 mg.

Personally, it took 36 mg to have me kick smoking for good. I wonder if that is really what it takes or will 24 mg suffice?

I personally think 24 mg is a little weak, especially in the beginning. Even after I've vaped for a good 4 month now, 24 mg still doesn't quit give me the satisfaction that 36 mg offers, so...

I just wonder what everyone else's opinion/experience are on this.

A decent number of full strength cig smokers do fiine with 24 mg/ml, but it does vary.

For me early on I used 24 mg/ml most of the time, but had a carto of the same flavor at either 30 or 36 mg/ml for first thing in the morning, immediately after a meal, some of the stronger craving points. First thing in the morning was the biggie, since the nicotine level in the body has decreased overnight.

Also, even early on when I mainly used 24, I would drop to a 12 - 16 mg/ml for at work or other places where I could (and did) chain vape.

So, for me:
30 or 36 = hard craving points
24 = "normal" replacement for cigs
12 - 16 = chain vaping mixes

Nowadays I vape 10 all the time, could probably drop easily but haven't bothered.

As Kopf said, some also are fine with 18 as their standard replacement level.

I had smoked 2 1/4 PAD of RYO 'Pipe Tobacco'...not light smoking material. I started vaping at 36 mg/ml and up to 5 volts. I credit that with my having dropped the cigarettes from the 1st vape.

However, I found my body could not tolerate the 36 mg for the long term. I dropped to 30 mg and then to 24mg. I don't know...may be a circulation related matter. Otherwise, I think I'd still vape 36 mg and thoroughly enjoy it.

I smoked over a pack a day, and 18mg did it for me, with some 24mg to kick-start the morning with. I'd use 18mg to pique their interest, but let them know that they can get it higher.
This. 36mg would probably be too much as an introductory strength.

If they like, they can always bump up to 24/36/whatever later

I started at 18 but then decided to go up to 24. 24 is a bit much for all day so, I know this seems complicated, I vape 24 mg in the morning and 18 all afternoon and drop to 12mg in the evening with a few puffs of 24 if I think I need it.

I think starting people off at 18mg is generally a good idea.

I have to agree with you, 36mg all the way...
Im still stuck on 30mg even after 3 years of vaping.....

I started with 24 and kept smoking a few cigs every day. 2 weeks into vaping I ordered 36mg nic juice and depending on what flavor I use it is cut down to 34.2 (cinnamon) or 30.6 (peppermint). As soon as I got the higher nic juice I didn't get the urge for analogs, as a matter of fact after just a few days on the higher nicotine level I don't even think about analogs any more.

I'm going to try cutting down to 24mg later this week just to see if it is still enough, or if I need to stay at the high end for a while.

I smoked almost a PAD of full flavor menthol, started vaping at 18 and dropped to 12 within a week (once got more orders)
I think it also has to do with how much you really want to quit

I started a friend vaping, and I think I'll need to get her a higher nic, even though she likes it, she falls back to analogs many times a day while at work.

You can always buy from a vendor who lets you bump the flavor up along with some lower unflavored juice at zero nic and bring the nic level down yourself if its too high. Or you can order one high and one the next lower and do the same thing in case you fall somewhere in between them in your needs or in case you need to lower the nic level before bed. You probably don't know yet if you're going to turn out to be a chain vaper... especially at home in the evening. I did and find my higher nic juice will cause my heart to race so I always cut the nic down at that point.

PS: Some vendors don't offer flavor bumps and some charge .25 cents a bump or so. Then again, with some of them like the one I use (Mr-E-Liquids) bump it for free when you ask in the comments at check out.

I think it depends on whether you want to convert them to vaping or get them off of cigarettes, and if they want to quit.
I say this because I think if I had started with an Njoy King @ 45mg in 2009 I would have taken a couple of drags and put it down until I needed it again. Done.
Instead, I became a chain vaper, fiddling with them all the time, modding, glued to this forum all the time looking for the next great fix...
Just my 2 cents.

Well, that could be an issue of convenience versus nic levels
As great as ecigs are, analogs don't weigh as much and don't run out of charge
I like my ecig stuffs and I don't get any nic-fits, but once in a while when a battery runs out of charge I do go "dammit..."

I smoked a pack to a pack and a half of regular sized menthols a day. the 36mg does it for me where the 24mg does not. I just have to know my limits as far as vaping too much of it in too short of a time period. 24mg I literally have to vape non stop to deal with the nic cravings That's what works for me, c'est la vie
