And one of the great aspects is things seem to progress so fast in this industry and bring things around...I had pretty much packed away my Ego's and they were nothing more than a 4th string emergency backup as the 3.2volts pretty much did zilch for me...and then I decided to try an Ego Booster and OMG!! Totally new and awesome step up in vaping, and I was already very happy with my BMF's! Every juice, every fresh or dying carto, etc, etc can be tweaked to WOW with a simple turn of the dial! The possibilities are endless, there is most definitely something ideal out there for everyone.

the Booster does just that...boosts the voltage. There is a dial that lets you go from the regular/normal voltage of the batt of 3.2/3.3 volts up toward 5 (I think mine metered around 4.9). There is no meter built in, but I found you really dont need it...you quickly get to know where the sweet spot on the dial is for each flavor, and you end up setting and tweaking based on the vape anyway (ie if a carto is getting beat you just nudge it up a little. I use it with a good amount of boost most of the time...like 4.3~4.5... and the battery life is appx 20% less.

It really is a pretty awesome little device...you get a perfect voltage range (IMO), its pretty small, and for a reasonable price you can make batts that almost everyone already has into VV devices. I had thought it as a starter VV mod until I could get a Provari...but now I don't think I ever will. I like having multi batts, and the ability to vary the size...I go more stealth by using a tiny little Ego batt I have, or I put on one of the big batts for a road trip or any other heavy vape session without having to worry about changing, charging, etc. My next is adding a PT Ego batt to my collection and pretty much every angle is covered.

They are made and sold by Artisan vaping Artisan Vaping | Home of the Ego Booster and I think TW rebrands one for their line.

No, I have no vested interest...just pretty happy with mine. It really has taken the enjoyment and satisfaction of vaping up a big notch for me...and to come back to the orig topic, it allows me to 'up' the taste, TH, etc without having to up the nic level.

I'm curious about the battery life. Does a booster boost it too?

I've found with myself the first issue was supplying my body with enough Nic. I know of some friends that are more "addicted" to the physical aspects- vapor, oral puffing, movement of the arm, etc...they don't seem to need as much Nic. I started at 36 mg and am now down to 20 mg. I vape 10 mg in the evening so I can sleep thanks to the advice from swedishfish. I know of one smoker who literally leaves his analog burning in the ashtray and maybe puffs 15% of the analog. He's called a chain smoker yet he probably only truly ingests about 10 analogs per day....Guess what he's getting for Christmas this year :vapor:
Yep vaping is surely a very personal experience IMHO.

I may be wrong here, but a booster adds to the battery's energy consumption, thus even shorter battery life. I don't really see the advantage other than add variable voltage to an Ego. Most would probably opt for a VV box mod, which you can buy less than what it will cost you to buy a booster. A booster also adds to the bulkiness of the device.

But going back to the original topic, I agree with the title of the thread. Personally, I'd rather treat a PV as a means to satisfy the craving and prefer not to chain vape. And I think the closer the TH is to the real smoke the better.

You are correct...it adds to batt consumption, but even with it set consistently for a pretty strong boost the battery life between charges is only reduced about 20%. The advantage for me was a quick, easy, and inexpensive conversion of my multiple existing (and generally useless for my preferences) Ego batts to VV. I personally hate box mods...to me they are bulky and inconvenient and most are either cheap plastic boxes or very expensive wooden versions and for me I would prefer something a bit more pocket friendly, sleek, and refined. I love the craftsmanship of some of the wood mods, but even they are not something I would carry or use in say a business setting. For $50 I have everything I wanted in a Provari minus a meter, its slimmer, and I can adjust size by using a tiny stealth batt up to an 'all weekend' full size. It was a no-brainer.
