This birkshire doesn't seem to fit. There's a huge gap between the base of the atty and the top of my pv. When I drop it on, it will only turn for 1/2 a revolution then lock up. If I throw it on ego batt it will spin 3 1/2 full times around until it's flush. Advice? Am I stupid? 2012-11-26_18-44-09_786.jpg

Take a look at the aga 510 connector, is the center pole sticking out way past the negative threads?

Nope, everything looks ok it just will not thread, I keep thinking I'm missing something but this is not normal. It immediately locks up on the provari but threads fine on an ego batt. I just screwed on every other 510 connection I had on my provari and they are fine as well. It's really startin to piss me off tbo.

As do both of mine. That's curious. Threads aren't buggered a bit on the lead in are they? My ProVari seem to have much 'better' (tighter/smoother/more uniform/whatever) threading than many of my other devices. The only devices I have that seem as good are on my Twists (genuine Joy-e models).

Mine fits fine.

I've also heard its damn near impossible to strip the threads on provari, that an atty or cart will strip first but I'm not sure anymore.

You're talking about stainless on stainless now, they are equally hard. It really sounds like there is a bur on the aga threads that is catching on the Provari but simply cutting into the other mods you screw it on.

thats weird, cuz my aga-t fits on my provari, but wont fit on my Bam. does exactly what you described. really ...... me off

I saw that post about your bam, looks like a single issue cause there weren't any responses.

I do think the threads are oversized. Comparing them to my vivi's they look just a hair too thick errr something, they just don't look right.

I would like to update that Daniel from GotVapes responded to my complaint in probably 10 minutes. Discussed it with me and agreed to send it back for an exchange. While I might have to wait awhile, it's the best they can do as I'm sure they don't do any manufacturing (china?). But now I would have no problem ordering from them again and I do appreciate such a timely response and resolution when one of your toys is broken out of the box. Thank you GotVapes staff.

Good luck with that, i hope the replacement works for you. I just got my aga-t today and I woulda been ...... if i couldn't play with it. Out of curiosity does your air hole line up with your wick hole when the top cap is tightened down? Mine actually does and I'm wondering if i got lucky or if China finally figured out a better way to machine these.

No my air hole was wayyy off. I've seen people say that it's only an 1/8 of a turn off, but mine was more like 3/4 of a turn. Wasn't sure how that was going to play out either. I guess we'll see.

I don't tighten my cap all the way. Same with wick. I tighten tank part until wick hole lines up with display screen since I'm used to pressing button with index finger. Then I tighten cap till it lines up with wick. Oring prevents from any leaks from bottom of cap.

I also upgraded to an IBTanked glass tank.

It would be impossible for the manufacturer to build the AGA with the vent hole lined up with the wick; because it's a dual purpose device. It's intended to be built with either stainless steel wicks or silica/cotton wicks. Whichever option the user uses would determine where the vent hole should be; but they wouldn't be in the same place.
