Does anybody know how to get rid of the hotspot between the post and the coil

You guys know how there's a space between where the coil is wrapped around the post and where it starts wrapping around the wick... i'm getting hotspots right there because no wick is touching that area. I'm trying to create some space because I don't want the coil touching the post, is there anyway to solve this?

yes, give it some slack. the leg tied to the center post is too tight.

Some attys will accept a washer between the nuts, which shortens the distance to the coil. This works well on my agat, not so much on the cobras.
