I dont care where it was invented!!! They invent many things, but I prefer to support American vendors who have quality control standards and parts designed to be functional. Its cheapskate vapors who buy from China and then their battery blows up on the charger who then post online about it, making people wary of vaping or buying from the REAL ego company. It really bothers me, so I am sorry if I offended you, but you know what, Its my opinion and its not changing.

This is about the tenth post where I have seen you say "Don't order from China"

Please tell us of your bad experience ordering E-cig stuff from there. I'm curious what experience a person with such a strong opinion has had with them. I look to this forum for accurate information not "feelings" I have yet to see one example where a person was dissatisfied with fastech. So far, any one who has had a minor problem has had it taken care of ASAP by the company. Do you even know where the Ego company is located? Seriously, if you are going to make definitive statements you should have an idea of what you are saying

Never buy from China!!!! 9 times out of 10 they are fakes and poorly constructed.
Ordered my Vamo + Panasonic Batts from China; friend ordered the same setup form an ECF listed Vendor. The only diff is he paid twice as much and they are identical to mine.
The shipping will take 2-3 weeks, and the product you get will be garbage and most likely not work properly. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to vaping, dont be cheap!
I've ordered over $2,000 worth of gear from HealthCabin and not one single issue. Ordering from Fasttech took 11 days.
You can try cheap juices...
The last thing I would ever do is order "cheap" juices unless I was assured of the ingredients.
The batteries from China arent genuine and are the ones you hear about on the news that blew up when charging or caught fire.
You obviously don't know the whole story. 99% of all items nowadays are manufactured in China- it's a fact of life because of the low labor costs.
Also, they have no quality control, so they can use cheap parts.
My first PV was a British made Mod- it had issues with a low quality connector.
Its cheapskate vapors who buy from China and then their battery blows up on the charger who then post online about it, making people wary of vaping or buying from the REAL ego company.
It's a matter of choosing high quality batts and chargers, knowing how to care for and not abuse them. As for the "real eGo" company Janty is the inventor of the eGo. ALL others are "knockoffs".

The "real" eGo company (manufactured) is in China!! Since your "opinion" is not supported by facts but just prejudice, why don't you keep it to yourself and not try to inflict it on others, especially some new person, who knows nothing. Oh wait, that would be you.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/422919-tired-fake-ego-batteries.html Here is a nice example, and you can google "ego battery blows up" and things like that if you are seeking information. I am aware many things in America are manufactured in China, but there is a quality control measure taken when things come into the US that companies in China do not have to follow. Yes American vendors sell knock-offs, but you can usually tell (and the reputable one with the highest customer service ratings have the real things). I want people to enjoy vaping and get the most out of it, and I feel that its important to have quality equipment to get the most out of the experience. Ive seen a lot of situations where people order from China to try and save money, and then end up screwed over. If it works for you, then knock yourself out by all means. The asker asked for our opinions, so thats what I gave. Not everyone has to agree with me. ;)

Most of us are on ECF to learn and to help new people. All you are doing is spreading ignorance and prejudice. You keep telling people to buy from JoyeTech. This is from the JoyeTech web site:

"Joyetech factory was founded in Shenzhen China in December of 2007."

I take my chances with cheap stuff because I am handy with a soldering iron and like to hardware hack stuff. If your not then stick with the advice in here about who what and were to buy from. Brand names and customer service make a big difference. Forum chatter has a boat load of objective hints such as the infamous poly tanks cracking due to the fruity flavored juices we put in them, Pyrex glass tanks are favored for this reason. Thats just an example of what to take notes on. My first real electric vaporizer was from Pro Vapes, great service quick free ship but the charger unit was dead on arrival, no problem. I popped it open and soldered a faulty power lead. But for you that would have been a horrendous disappointment. So If I bought a LAVA tube from an american vendor with a reputation for buying stock carefully this wouldn't have happened. I could have returned it, but who has the patients for that Bovine Serenity? I would pay any vendor out there an extra 30 dollars on a whole starter kit just for testing these things before they ship, now there is a marketing idea.

All ego batteries are made in China. Iphones are made in Shenzhen,China, the same city as many ecig manufacturers. Quality control takes place in the Chinese production facilities, unless a reseller tests each item they buy before shipping.

The question is whether you want some convenience and to pay the markup on chinese egos by buying from a US reseller, or go to the source.

and I love it. I started with Blu, as most of us do, then a nice guy at a local tobacco shop sold me an Ego-T and some E-Juice. Now that I have done some research, I have 2 ego-Ts, and 1 Tornado-C Passthrough and I am in heaven. My favorite juices so far are all 100% VG from Johnson's Creek. What are some of yours? I love the Vanda, and the Cherry, but I ordered a few sample packs from other sites like HighBrow, Virgin Vapors, and a few others. Any tips or suggestions would be great!!!

From my understanding, Tornado-C Passthrough is a knockoff of Joyetech eGo-C upgrade 1000mAh passthrough.

Never buy anything from China or any Asian country for that matter. They have sub-par products and have no limits or rules regulating their quality control....

And yet all of the devices you listed above are manufactured in CHINA.

Nuff said...

My 2 cents on this, having ordered via alibaba...

Yes, most of our vaping gear is made in China.

I think a better way to state his concern is "buy from a COMPANY that will stand behind their product."

Quite a few (most?) of the 'vendors' on alibaba are based in Hong Kong and are trading companies. They manufacture nothing. They buy from the China factories and resell. The problem is that those companies sell off their defects to these trading companies. Then they turn around and sell them on alibaba. This is a major component of what is commonly known as 'grey market' merchandise. There are also the knock-off manufacturers who are not as concerned about quality or accountability for their products: they just want to make some fast easy money. This is the same process that results in 'fake' medicines, unsafe batteries, etc. I've even seen horrible fake smart phones that were only fancy PDAs from 15 years ago with some window-dressing to make them look like smart phones.

So... Be careful. Caveat Emptor

Ordering a product from someone who you do not share a fluent language with is a nightmare. ( Broken engrish? *facepalm* )

Ordering from someone who cannot or will not stand behind what they sold you is very risky. You might not get what you ordered or it might only barely qualify as what you ordered by the letter of the description.

My personal experience went like this: Via alibaba, I ordered some vivi nova tanks and and an quantity of replacement heads as part of the same order. The tanks were one variety of cheap knockoff. The replacement heads were from yet another knockoff design and were NOT actually compatible with the tanks in the same order. (!) Yeah. Fail. Oh and the ohms ratings of the replacement heads were well outside of any reasonable tolerance. a 2.0 ohm head was a 'good' one if it tested at 1.6 ohms. Most were worse. The seller's alibaba account said they were a manufacturer. In reality, upon some investigation, I found it was a Hong Kong trading company: one of several hundred thousand posting stuff to alibaba. My interactions with several and the one I ordered from make me suspect that they are the online equivalent of the guy selling 'genu-wine rolex watches' hanging in the liner of his overcoat in Times Square.

Ya spin the wheel and ya takes your chances. But if you see the wheel is rigged, play elsewhere.

Some people may be frugal but did you ever consider that there are those out there that have very limited income? In the end yes they may lose. I know there is on this forum where you can list good and bad experiences but I do not believe when looking at posting dates that these a utilized often. When leaving positive feedback for them I do believe you should have at least 2 perfect sales transactions before leaving positive feedback. Apparently it is not unusual for them to send your first order with everything a ok... then gain your trust so you will place a larger order later. In turn your goods are never sent and you lose all your money.

Unfortunately, I can't speak for Alibaba, but I've ordered lotsa eGo stuff from fasttech including 2 batteries, over 10 different atomizers and some juice. Nothing has failed thus far, though I have found better tasting juice with Heather's Heavenly Vapes (American vendor).

Anyway, my experience with fasttech in particular has been great. I should clarify that I did have a button break on me, but their customer service responded within a day and eventually sent me a replacement free of charge. Although the service representatives may not be fluent in English, they understand you and get their points across well enough.
