Batteries don't seem to last as long in the mini as they do in other mods?
I am using the red protected ones that were suggested, but they only seem to last about 6 hours.

Thats sounds about right .... never used those batts in any other mod though.
But I can tell you that I vape a REO 3X more than I would another mod so it stands to reason :)
(just imagine how many times you would have to drip to = a mini bottle)

But ya they go pretty quick. My mini only goes out with me if I am running to the store or PO ... quick trips.
If I think I am going to be out than a couple of hours I take the Grand !!

I'm not sure what you are comparing to. The mini takes 14500s which in an IMR is only 600mah. A 14500 protected batt is around 700 and up. Not many supplier mods take that batt.

Most mods sold around here typically use a 6ml bottle like the Reo Grand which is usually designed around a 18650 batt. Looking around quicky those seem to be 800mhr and up to 2600mhr. Also you said you are using the red protected ones. Well, red batteries are AWs (that I know of) and those are IMR Li-MN chemistery non-protected batts and 600mah. 14500 protected batts are of a higher mah rating, about 750 and up but don't supply the amps or power of an IMR.

I too change out batts about every 3-4 hours. I have chargers at home, car and work. I'm pretty much constanly charging one. But the higher temp vape (5V) on a Cisco 1.5 atty and and an AW IMR 14500 in my minis is worth it to me. I looked at going to cartos but can't find one that doesnt' have batting that doesn't at 1.5 so right now I'm standing pat with attys.

:)

Yes...the batteries are the biggest limiting factor with the Minis. I'm impatiently waiting for battery technology to catch up so that we can get the same use out of a 14500 as we do an 18650. May not happen in my lifetime...but it doesn't hurt to hope :)

Good job covering for the nuclear fusion powered REO .... we both know Robert is working on one :)
