Does anyone know how I can pop off grey cap over LED?

On one of my batteries the led is messed up and I want to look under the cap to try and fix it. Is there any way I can get the "ash" off without cracking it, and put it back on?

I put a sharp knife between the batter and the plastic "ash" and pry it off. Be carefull though. Easy to slice you finger.

Yeah, it's not too difficult. As Zoid said, pry it off with a knife, carefully. If you are not in a hurry, it won't crack, and you will save yourself from needing a band-aid

an eye glass screwdriver (flat head type) fit perfectly for me... or any really small fine tip screw driver... notice the 2 notches on either side of the tip? just pry one side a little then the other.. then the other... till it comes off... no muss no fuss... and no scratching the paint.


Interestingly I literally just swapped out some of the grey heads with some white heads that were on 2 disposables I tried (now on my 510's). they are now more "Glowey" to use a technical term.
