Does anyone still use "prebuild tanks", even you have a RTA/RDTA/RDA?

Yes! I mostly use RTAs (75-80% of the time?) but I also use nautilus minis and vika fantasy, and when I get the coils from fasttech (if ever), I'm going to try the Ego One with CLR coils (so, in that case, a combo of prebuilt and rebuildable).

I usually start the day with my nautilus mini because if the coil's not good, I DO NOT feel like wrapping and wicking a coil half asleep and bleary before I've even had my first cuppa. So I just keep my favorite morning juice in a Nauti, and skip to my RTAs after that. And like Bonskibon, I also tend to use them when I go out, because they don't leak, and I can change a coil in few seconds if I need to.

I have almost no use of the fingers on my right hand and limited feeling in my left. It's an old neck injury causing compression on the nerves feeding my upper extremities.

I have no choice but to use stock coils and occasionally re-wick the rebuildable decks on my Subtank Mini and AnyVape Sega.

Even if I could rebuild, I have to consider the economics. My time is expensive, and the time spent breaking down the unit, measuring materials, wrapping the coil, installing and testing it, wicking it and reassembling the unit cost more than replacing the whole thing from my bulk-bought stock of coils.

95% of the time I'm vaping on an SV rda clone in temp control but I still have a Nautilus mini and take a few puffs on it now and then. It's still a great vape but I'm concerned about government interference with products so I stick with something rebuildable. I run both at 16 watts with a .4 second preheat. The difference is the rda is used with tc so no dry hits, not really an issue with the tank.

When I'm home I will occasionally use an rda or 2 and sub-ohm. When it comes to using my rda's I can only use those and not a tank. The difference in flavor is too much of a reason to not touch my cloud beast instead. But on the go I usually have a nautilus 2 at all times so for mtl I do use only tanks. I may be missing out by not having a mtl rebuildable tank for better flavor but I haven't gone there yet. So I do rebuild and use stock coils for mtl.

just one of my kabuki tanks on a classic provari when i can't carry my setup in my hand or keep it in truck for awhile when out but, i have always hated the factory cotton filled coils so i bought a couple dozen of rebuilt nautilus coils that uses silica wicks that lasts me monthsss each for it.. although i tried to do without, i am back to only using one of my small chambered single coil rda all other times for am not a happy vaper otherwise!

I'm in a similar situation and completely understand. I have hand problems, numbness, and essential tremors. But I bought a dripper just to test if I could build successfully. Once I made that work, I went with a better dripper as well as 4 RTA's.....mostly as a safety net if regs make things tough. But it takes some time to complete the task, about an hour and some days I don't even attempt it. I'll manage if I have to, but for now, the ease of factory coils wins out!

I've been vaping for 5 years. Started out using cartomizers for about 3 years. Went to building my own coils in a Kayfun RTA. Added a couple of RDA's. So I've been rebuilding coils for the last couple of years.

I was gifted a Uwell Crown 1 tank about a year ago and was quite impressed with its performance. I rarely use my Kayfun or RDA's any more (kind of a hassle dripping when out and about), although I still use the drippers to sample DIY flavors. I get 3 - 4 weeks use out of the Crown coils, and quite frankly the convenience overshadows any small flavor/vapor edge of the RDA's.

I recently purchased a clone Kabuki to use on a P3 Provari, and purchased 2 more Crown 1 tanks, so I seem to be entering a phase of prebuilt coils.
