I purchased a nautilus mini and was wondering why they included the eGo thread cone with it and what is the actual purpose for the eGo thread cone.......I have no use for it because to me the tank looks great sitting on top of my mod without it........I thought maybe it did something extra to enhance the vape experience but it just made my tank look weird sitting on my mod IMPO......does anyone feel the same or different............

This is what it's for

I have a rubber band around my tank to tell what flavor is in it. I now have the 50W iStick but I made this pic to show my vape progression.

So basically its for eGo style batteries that don't have a 510 threading on them..........

Actually these batteries do have the 510 threading, you can see it in the small battery. The "cone" is for additional support, it tightens down the 510 threaded tank supporting the edges so the pressure is not all on the 510 threads, protecting the tank.

whats the secret and whats a Vamos??????????

If it's what I think it is, it's to protect the weak 510 connection on the Vamo. Vamos are known to have a rather soft 510 connection, and is prone to strip. If you put a tank on it, and bend it, or what not, it will strip. The vamo comes with a beauty ring, and what he might use it for, is he screws on the atomizer, then unscrew the beauty sleeve to sit flush with the atomizer. That will give extra support for the atomizer.

Some batteries, have a combination Ego/510 connector. Ego batteries are one but the old (now) Innokin iTaste MVPs had one also. If you have any devices that have that combination connector and you want to use a 510 topper it not only looks better with the "beauty ring" (some call it a plinth) but it helps support a larger tank.

You put your tank on and unscrew the ring up to the bottom of the tank.

View attachment 422801 These are cones what has been referred to so far here has been trim rings or I forget the other name....
Yes, these are the "cones" and I have a few of them, but never use them.
They impede the airflow on my 510 atomizers, and make the setup look worse rather than better.
