Does bigger mean longer?

I've only been vaping for about a month and I'm really enjoying it. Shortly after I started I managed to concoct about 20ml of some amazing strawberry vanilla custard juice. It tasted horrible at first but by the 2 week mark it was so delicious I decided to make a bigger 100ml batch using the exact same everything including percentages.

It's almost 3 weeks now and I've been trying it every other day. Its getting better but still not close to the original, mostly because the vanilla custard has barely shown up to the party.

I thought because the first attempt took 2 weeks that this one would too, so, does a bigger batch equal longer steeping time?

I'm new to this but I'm not sure I'd split the batch up. You might end up with different flavors for each.

OP mentioned that the 100ml bottle they mixed has already sat for 3 weeks. I may be wrong, but, I don't see the flavors separating after such a lengthy encounter ;)

Just make sure to shake it really well before transferring, if that is what you intend to do. I have no evidence that it will help, aside of knowing that juices tend to mix quicker in tighter areas.

Well you might be right. Just when I think I got my head wrapped around this steeping, something comes up and leaves me feeling I'm back at square one.

Honestly, I have no personal experience that I can remember testing such a theory. However, I read a lot, and I remember reading specifically in the Alien Visions sub-forum that someone felt that Boba's Bounty tasted different, or some what off, in the 100ml quantity over the 30ml. They put their suspicion into practice by transferring some of the 100ml batch into a 30ml bottle, and within a day or two, they reported that it was tasting as it did from the 30ml bottle.

Why I remember this stuff, your guess is as good as mine.

Thanks! Your advice makes sense.

The only thing I changed was the batch size so if I break it down to smaller bottles it can't hurt and maybe it will flavor up a little quicker. I'm not worried about the time so much as I am wanting it to turn out as similar to the first batch as possible. I'll try to remember to post back with a result. Much appreciated!

So, it's been a couple of weeks now since I broke down the batch size of my favorite juice - what I actually did is just pour off about 20ml into a separate bottle, leaving 70ish ml in the big one, and I have to say that the flavor in both bottles has increased at pretty much the same pace, and both taste identical.

Like my original recipe I used 50/50 sweet strawberry and vanilla custard at 20% but unlike the original, this time I can taste the strawberry and something .... but there is not even a hint of vanilla custard - sigh. I'm going to start another small batch and see if I can replicate the first one and if I can I'll just have to keep making it that way. I think I might also try mixing the 2 flavors separately and blending them after they steep for a couple of weeks.

Patience is a virtue .... and I want some right now! ;)

I'm right there with you!

I love everything about this e-cig thing except the waiting. We wait for shipments, wait for steeping, wait for betteries to charge, etc.

Why can't you buy "Per-steeped" liquid if you want to use it right away?
