So I live in Columbus, OH so naturally I went to AltSmoke for my first foray into e-cigs. I loved it there. Dimitri (I really hope I'm spelling that right!) was great, and hooked me up with an eGo-C Twist, a 2.0ml Vivi Nova, and three juices, Volt's RY4, Blueberry by Niquid, and Cinn-a-bun by High Caliber. I loved them all, especially the Cinnabun. So I went back about a month later to get a few more tanks and some more RY4 and Cinnabun. Well, the Cinnabun that they had in 30ml sizes was from a different manufacturer (and I also later found that although I thought I had 18mg of nic from High Caliber it was actually 12mg), and it tastes totally different! Is it the nic difference or is it the manufacturer? It doesn't seem as icing-igy if that makes any sense. The cinnamon is too much, I guess. Anyone else experience this? Does anyone know if I can exchange for a smaller dose of nicotine?

I mostly diy e-juice now, but my experience with tobacco juice from different vendors was that there was a world of difference from one to another. The "recipe" of flavorings used is not set in stone, hence the difference. Having said that I also feel that the nic level does make a difference too.
Nic tends to play relative to throat hit, as well as a somewhat "peppery" taste, at least at higher nic. I notice it a lot with a fruit -- a 12mg vs. a 24 mg/ml blackberry can be noticeably different, the 24 having that extra hit/pepper.
Overall, 12 to 18 mg is generally going to be in the same zone relative to nic flavor impact, other than perhaps a slight pepper plus-up, but different manufacturers use different flavorings (from different sources) and % of the flavorings.

One thing to consider: even juice from the same manufacturer using the same recipe will taste differently as it ages. It's possible that the cinnamon bun you recently bought is a younger batch and needs to steep.

Bulk China produced eliquid is pretty much already fully steeped just from the shipping cycle, but US-made eliquids do fall into the steeping class, especially if sourced from a smaller shop. How much steeping varies hugely, from mix to mix; some of my blends are pretty much good to go right away, others take a minimum of two weeks, with a month preferable.

Yes, especially when it comes to tobacco or other complex mixes. Fruit, not so much.
Also, different vendors use different types of PG/VG and those can have different tastes as well.
