Hi, I'm a newbie and I got juice from 2 different vendors.

One was altsmoke @ 18mg/ml and one was valuevapor @ 24mg/ml.

The valuevapor is giving me a very bad taste and a chemical like burning sensation as I vape it. I've tried a few different atomizers and I just can't seem to get it right-- is there a good guide out there because it seems like I might be "doing it wrong" with regards to dripping.

The altsmoke stuff is doing me very well, I quite enjoy the vape (other than the first one in the morning, that tastes like .... too for some reason). The apple pie flavor is ....ing nasty, but other than that I've liked the others.

Could it just be the nicotine difference in them that gives me this kind of flavor/sensation?

Short answer.. Yes it could be the higher nic content causing your issues and more then likely thats the case.. When i first started 24mg it was a tad harsh for me as well but i grew into it :D

Side note.. i cant stand vaping anything APPLE flavored my self :D

If 18mg does you well try that same strength in another vendor when you need to re-up and see how that does for ya if your cravings are being taken care of the lower nic the better :D

Well, I have had a couple of cigs since starting but it's definitely helping to "curb" the cravings at the very least. That's part of the reason I wanted to try the 24mg. Maybe I'll get some of that PG/VG stuff and try to cut these down a bit in that case-- see how that does me.

since U only gave up on analogs..so how long U being smoking?..if U were like me for over 30+yrs on analogs..and when i did vape,my mouth were blistered and took a few weeks to heal(that is the toxin from smoking for far too many yrs,fault)..that was 10 months ago..but since then only i get the ulcer if my mouth has "cut" as i wear denture and will take a few days/week to heal..i would use Q-tip to wipe clean yr drip-tip regularly as moisture do built up when U vape..and taking even a little e-liquid into yr mouth seem like a lot & not very pleasant to taste the e-liquid..that is my observation since i happily vape for over 10 months..regards mafig

Small update,

So today I received some more 24mg liquid, from another company (iVape, Sweet Caroline). It has none of the "chemical" taste but still has the throat kick. I've shelved the VV liquid for now (it was the "Vapure" type btw) and maybe it'll get better as it "steeps" as I see a bit about that but don't really understand what it means... It's possible I just got a bad batch, too. But it definitely wasn't a good taste.

Also: Oh, wow the cherry limeade is fantastic. I was kind of lukewarm on this whole vaping thing after thinking it was the nicotine with that chemical taste. But I might just become a full time vaper after this.

Steeping is letting the contents mix together as I gather. Shake them vigorously at least once a day. I love IVapes Carolina Crush and the wife likes their Chai Tea. Just wished they sold in larger bottles. It seems that one of the hardest thing for new vapor's to find is their go-to all-day preferred juice. I still haven't found mine.
