To try and find my right juice, I bought 16, 24, and 36mg of juice, mostly 555 and Hilton. I began on the 24mg, but as I stopped analogs, I found myself vaping waaaaaaay too much. Figured that if I am going to vap so much, might as well go low, so began on the 16mg. All's well.

But my analog withdrawal is worst in the am with that first cup of strong black coffee, so tried the 36mg.

Holy s**t!

My heart began to race, and I was borderline dizzy for a while.

Is this just me? Or, it's common?

Obviously, I put the 36mg back in the box.

It is common.

When I first started, I found I couldn't use 24mg (or higher) all day so I used 11mg and added a few drops of 24mg to top off a cart when I 'wanted' a cigarette... then went back to the lower nic liquids for vaping during the day. Works great in the morning!

Now that I've been smoke free for 9 months, I've settled at around 11-18mg (depending on my mood, ha). I rarely use higher now and have cut most of my high liquids down.

You can buy some zero nic 555 and Hilton and cut your 36 without losing flavor.

I don't think I can even tell a difference with what mg I'm vaping. I've ordered all different strengths and only diluting the eco krystal because everyone said I should. I've never vaped 0 nic but I'm wondering now if it would matter. I've smoked for 40 years and it just seems that as long as I get to vape anything it keeps me away from analogs. I'm thinking that's a bit weird. ????

I chain vape 30Mg all day and dont get jittery or racing heart. I have high blood pressure and take medication for it and test all the time and dont see a fluctuation in it even while vaping. Occasionally if I crave a smoke Ill hit some 48Mg and it kills the urge but still feel fine. Must just be the high strung in me!!!!!

I slowly cut down, and zero now satisfies me for a couple of hours in the evening, then I need to vape a bit of medium strength for a while. The portion of the habit that has to do with nicotine is very real, but a good part of the habit has nothing to do with nicotine. I enjoy chocolate flavored zero nic VG all evening watching TV.

PS 36 mg. is generally considered too strong to vape. One ml. would be equal to about 2 packs of cigarettes. 36 mg./ml. is generally sold to be cut. Mix it 50:50 with VG (or flavered VG) and you've got 18 mg./ml. Mix 2 parts 36 mg. to 1 part VG, and you've got 24 mg./ml. strength. Mix 1 part 36 mg. to 2 parts VG, and you have 12 mg./ml. Dr. G.

Anything more than 12mg nic makes my heart race. And I've always had such a huge caffeine tolerance that I thought stimulants could never do that to me! But I also have to chain-vape 12mg to get satisfaction and stay off smoking....so it's a delicate balance.

(To the OP: If you find it hard to quit the smokes but high mg. nicotine causes your heart to race, some people here use various smokeless tobacco alternatives (snus, snuff, just not dip) to supplement their vaping and give the satisfaction/relaxation that pure nicotine cannot provide so well for some people. There's good discussion in the Other Alternatives To Smoking forum.)

That assumes that we are absorbing 100% of the nicotine from the liquid, which we are not. The "so are we getting it or are we not..." discussion goes into this issue.

My sense is that people are vastly different in the nic levels needed to keep them off smoking. I understand that nicotine isn't candy and has some detrimental effects on cardiovascular health, for one. But if someone's got decent blood pressure and other health measures, wouldn't vaping 36mg still be better than inhaling two or three packs a day of combustion products? (This is an honest question.)

I like the high nic stuff myself....doesnt make me jittery AT ALL, unlike caffiene and/or other stim's...I find myself feeling refreshingly awake and alert tho...not good at night unless driving tho ;)

I do drive ALOT for work, I run all over NC and VA and find when i get sleepy driving, I just chain vape a lil more (is that even possible?) and sometimes spike my cart w some 48mg unflavored to help it out...I goo from sleepy to 75mph and jammin in about a carts worth :D

Jammin'- Music up, singing, chair dancing, wide awake and woo-hooin' :)

I started vaping about a month ago and my first juices were the Nhaler HV 12 mg. I enjoyed the flavor, but it wasn't doing it for me. I now vape 36 mg all day and I'm hoping to taper down, but for now, it's killing my analog cravings. And I can't even drink caffeine or I'll have a heartbeat like a sunofa!
