Does it get even better?

Hi forum,

I started vaping about a month ago and it has been great. I was able to put down cigarettes from day one after 20+years of smoking a pack/day. I started off with a basic ego-C kit from ovale. It worked fine and satisfied my cravings to a good extent. However, I felt that to be fully satisfied I needed more vaper, a bigger throat hit, and deeper flavor.

Through some research and recommendations from the people here on ECF I ordered an 1000mAH ego twist and a mini vivi nova which arrived last night. All I can say is, WOW. I never imagined vaping could be this good! The depth of flavor from the RY4 i put in is incredible, the vape is warm with a full throat hit, and I exhale plumes of smoke.

So my question is, does/can the vape get even better? Better defined as an even fuller throat hit, deeper flavor, and more vaper.

Thanks all!

Yes
Just buy a ProVari.

Thanks, I knew this would be mentioned. I've read a few threads comparing the provari to the twist. I understand the possible advantages of the provari regarding long term cost benefit, battery life, voltage etc. However, nothing I read implied that the provari gives necessarily a better vape.

Where you least expect it....
The truth of the matter is that it all comes down to personal preference/choices in the end. Everyone has different tastes. So, what is great for one person is awful for the other.

So, there are a few routes that you can take. Buy different tanks, cartos, etc. to try on your ego twist. That will give you a better idea of what you really like. You might also find that one of those set-ups is all you need. Throat hit and flavor are highly dependent on voltage, ohms, wattage, amps, PG/VG percentage, etc.

If you find that an ego does not suit all your needs. Then you can make the decision to move onto a more advanced devices and set-ups.

Overall, my suggestion is to take a little time to do some research on this forum before you make your final decision.

It doesn't necessarily. You do get consistent voltage until the battery dies (what it shows is what you get) and the build quality is top notch. They also have great customer service if you have any issues from what I've read on here. Basically, voltage is voltage and there are lots of other e-cigs out there that will give the same vape as a Provari. I was skeptical about them and then I bought one. It was 100% worth the money IMO.

Sawadee khrap! Sabai dee mai?

Yes, it gets better. When you find the right blend of gear (mods, cartomizers, clearomizers, etc.) that works for your personal taste, it gets better. When you find a juice vendor that seems like it made a juice tailored to the flavor, vapor, and throat hit you want, it gets better. A lot of the fun is experimenting, which is why this is way more of a hobby for some people than smoking ever was.

I'd say be careful chasing perfection right at the beginning. It's a good way to waste a lot of money. I'd recommend taking it slow, and leaving some rewards for the future.

But, yes, you will most likely improve upon your experience.

For me, I think I've come close to my plateau. I've currently got no desire for anything like a Provari, as 650mah eGo Twists or Vision Spinners are about as big as I can stand for a power source. I started to DIY my e-liquid within a week of starting to Vape, and I've come up with several recipes that I really like, but I can also play with them for variety. DIY juice can be one route to improve your experience.

Another can be rebuildable atomizers. I've got a few, but my favorite is still my first: the amazing Vivi Nova. My favorite vape comes from my Vivi Nova rebuilt with 34 gauge nichrome 80, and 8 strands of Aunt Lydia's bamboo crochet thread, filled with my own version of RY4. :)

Yes, it does get better. I noticed after about three months that I really didn't even think about smoking anymore, and that I was enjoying vaping much more than I ever enjoyed smoking. Vaping became a whole thing in itself - and still is.
There are always new flavors to try - and I've had some really good surpises trying juices out. I haven't rushed buying new gear - if I was happy with what I had then that was fine for me. Every so often I buy some new vape gear - more as a celebration than anything.

You can read up about juice steeping.

It's basically like aging wine. Letting your juice steep can increase the flavor of some juices.

Now, just remember, PG = more flavor, more throat hit, less vapor. VG = less flavor, less throat hit and more vapor.

Order your juices' ratio according to your preference.

Last but not least, do not vape the same flavor for more than 2 days. Your tongue and throat will become numb to that specific flavor.

If you're satisfied with your vape quality then stick with what works, for now. When your current batteries start to crap out on you then you can decide if you feel like spending several hundred dollars on something with more bling.

"just get a provari" isn't the answer to any and all problems or any and all questions.

I just recently tried some Kanger M3 clearomizers on my Twists. My love affair with my Vivi Novas is over although I will use them with the aluminum tubes for plastic-unfriendly juices. The M3s only hold 1 ml of juice, you have to use a syringe or needle-tipped bottle to fill them, the heads are neither replaceable nor the attys rebuildable, you can't use your own drip tip and they take forever to dry after rinsing. However, I ordered more because the flavor beats my Viva Novas (real Visions, both the normal size and minis) to hades and back as well as giving dripping an even run for the money for both taste and vapor.

I'm lusting for something like a Vivi Nova that produces the taste and vapor of my little Kanger M3s. A Provari or some other status mod, not so much.
