Excellent idea to cut back on the Nic.
You will adapt fairly quickly and it will allow you to have the higher Nic available for Stress situations. Trust me, it works.

I have weened down to 9mg over a years time from 1.5PAD. I keep my 18mg handy just in case. This time of year is my most stressful with both work and Family. So far So good, but tomorrow........why knows. Not going to reach for anything but my APV's no matter what.:)

Hey mgmrick,

I was probably updating my post with nicotine concentrates as you were posting, but I'm actually thinking the nicotine might be too high (perhaps too low?).

I've tried upping the voltage on the twist, but I just end up with a really funky flavor. I'm currently set at 3.4 volts and have a 2.2 Ohm resistance head in the EVOD.

Wimpy voltage on an average ohm head is part of your problem. 90% of TH is from the nicotine level. PG allows more of it to come through and VG mutes it to a small degree. But getting a better PV than a twist and different head would help. I would move up to a good VW model PV (Zmax, iTaste, Vamo, etc). Then I would move to a dual coil cartomizer (1.5 ohm) or the new Aspire dual coil clearomizer (1.8 ohm). You will definitely get better throat hit if you make these changes. And with the DCC's, set the wattage around 11 - 12 watts or around 4.5 - 5.0 volts.

I think PG is more important than nic. You simply can't go too high on the nic without overdoing it. I thought I would try something higher than 24 and got some 36 and it nearly knocked me over, ended up buying another bottle of the same juice at 12 and mixing it to get it to 24. But also, flavor. Fruity flavors probably aren't going to have the same throat hit as say tobacco or darker flavors. I have a lemon at 30 mg that has no throat hit at all, so it's not necessarily the nic.

Most cases like your Lemon example is vendor error. They either forgot to add the nic or sent a mislabeled bottle. It happens. The PG allows more of the TH from the nic to come through. But try vaping just plain PG, like many of us tried as a test about 3 years ago and you will find it has zero throat hit.
