Hi, somewhat a newbie here.. 6 weeks ago I started vaping with the ego pens.I had been a pad smoker for 27 years and cut that in half with vaping.this past Saturday I went back to the local Vape shop and he introduced me to sub ohm. After explaining things for 30 minutes he sold me an Atlantis for 35 and a mvp 3.0 for 60. I was hoping it wasn't wasted money. He also told me to try 6 mg nic. Wow what a difference, I found my sweet spot at 25 watts and have zero desire to smoke... Am I in for a shock or will this stay easy to stay off cancer sticks?? I might add he threw in a 5 ml tank in the deal

Yes, its that easy,,, if you want it to be. Like most everyone else mentioned, I keep a tank with a higher nicotine level around,,, just in case. But,, I also keep my old ash tray outside to remind me of just how BAD they smell! one good wif and a bit of the higher nic and all is right with the world again.

it can be that easy. find juices that you really love. find gear that dials in exactly what you want from your experience. and just focus on the positives. how much better you and your surroundings smell. you will find you get winded much less easy.. that improves to a point as well. it can be SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than smoking, but for some, the hobby and continuing collecting of new things is part of the thrill... they might spend the same or more $ on vaping and be happy bc at least they arent smoking!

keep the faith.. surround yourself with people that don't make you feel bad for doing it... and enjoy!

i read a lot of things encouraging people that had stopped for a couple months or three to try a cigarette. i did. it was absolutely disgusting. i did have a couple slip ups where i smoked a single cig here or there... i didnt beat myself up over it.. i just was happy at how many less cigs i had smoked. its truly gotten to the point where i dramatically prefer vaping to burning tobacco. it isn't even a choice anymore... and if desired.. you can ween yourself off nicotine fairly smoothly. i started at 24 and am at 6 and am considering 3 at this point (as sometimes 6 is too much for me.. but granted.. i do sub ohm/high watts vape)

It actually gets easier with time, once you settle into a setup and juice.

Be careful delving into the sub-ohm side of vaping, it is easy to get carried away, and before you know it you are burning through 30ml of juice a day and dropping more cash than you did smoking as you try to keep up with the "atty of the month"....this comes from experience. If sub-ohming is what keep you away from cigs though, go nuts.

For me, it was very easy at first, but some major ill health (appendix!) back in the summer put a snag in my smoke-free, relapsed for a month, made it back, got cravings that nearly killed me, found WTA, and since then, it's been pretty easy, though there have been a few times when I felt, I dunno... dissatisfied? Or the thought of a smoke crossed my mind for whatever reason, but knowing what I went thru to get back to smoke-free serves as a valuable lesson to me, and I just vape away till the thought is forgotten. I don't want to tempt fate or my severely addictive brain any further than I have already! It's staying pretty easy now, so I'm good with that; I've got my eyes on July 25, when I'll be smoke-free for a year. :thumb:

I initially started vaping just when I was in the car with my husband since he wouldn't let me smoke in the car. I actually gave up cigarettes in three weeks without ever having the goal of quitting smoking. It was that easy. That was July 2014. However, when I get extremely stressed out I still crave a cigarette. One day about three weeks ago I almost went to the store to get some, but reminded myself how expensive they are and how the urge would pass soon enough.
