It was pretty easy for me too. I haven't smoked since I got my Ego starter kit. I can't say that I didn't have some strong cravings but I resisted. I was smoking (inhaling) Swisher Sweet Cigarillos. Talk about nasty, those things are strong and gross. I still have two unopened packs of five from a year ago sitting on my kitchen counter.

I'm still blown away by how easy it was when I switched literally smoked my last analog unknowingly my evod 2 came in the mail had juice already waiting set it up haven't smoked since I've also recently upgraded and no urges whatsoever to go back to the analogs

Everyone has different experiences, but for some of us yes, quitting was remarkably easy. I quit smoking the day I switched as well. I had a few months of withdrawals but nothing serious, and certainly nothing at all like going cold turkey; but no cravings. I was so glad to have found a substitute that actually worked. That was 17 months ago and I still have no desire at all to smoke. So yes, for me anyway, still easy :)

in short, yes and it got easier but everyone's experiences aren't the same.

pad for a bit over 20 years here. Smoke free since 3rd day of buying my first set-up and I didnt plan on quitting lol. The idea of smoking has become more and more repulsive while my vape gear, juices, skills, and technique improved. Smelling a cig, thinking about stinking like that, and knowing the heath impact of smoking make me sick to my stomach. I smell better with more coin in my pocket with clear cut health improvements and a fun lil hobby. Pretty rewarding for me. easy peasy

Wife still has a few stinkies a day despite vaping. ewwwwww . It hasn't been easy for her though she has cut way way back.

Almost three months for me now… out at the bar is no problem for me, even morning and bedtime pangs have waned. For me, there's still two scenarios that get me jonesing. First, it's the quiet time that I can sit outside with a cup of coffee. The other is when I've just finished a project. Something is still missing in those moments when I really enjoyed a cigarette (rather than "needing" the cig). But, I have a little moment of sadness for that old friend (the cig) whose passed now, raise my mod in a little toast to its passing and Vape on. (Okay, I really don't go through the theatrics, but I do take a moment and accept the fact that occasionally I miss smoking for a few minutes here and there. But I do Vape on.)

I dual-used when I was quitting for about a month, and realized I was really going to be able to make it when I found I was reaching for my e-cig instead of regular cigarettes. This, after 45 years of 2.5 PAD. And when the urges have gotten too strong, I found that a tank full of WTA would take care of it. A higher nic level also helped, but the WTA was/is the main thing in beating the cravings for me.

I read here somewhere that if you REALLY want to quit smoking it is just that easy. It sure was for me. When my son (who had no intention of quitting cigs, just cutting down) ordered a ego starter kit and got two for the price of one, he gave me one and I knew it was heavenly intervention :thumb: Up to that point I had not even HEARD of e-cigs! We both quit smoking in the first couple of days of vaping. What is really funny is, we had just bought 4 cartons of cigs which ended up in the freezer. We gave 3 away over time and the 4th one finally hit the trash can in about a year  We both have been vaping for almost 2 1/2 years and not looking back. I have absolutely no desire to smoke EVER again.

For me, after smoking around a pack a day for 41 years, it was easy to transition to vaping. Way easier than I'd even hoped for. What's been a bit harder is keeping the vape satisfying, still learning what works and what doesn't for me, after about 10 months. The good news is there is no lack of information/advice regarding just about any device you might be interested in, as well as techniques. Once in a while I still smoke a cigarette, and I admit I do enjoy it, but I don't want it as part of my lifestyle any more. 41 years is enough!

I smoked the sticks for 15 years, and my experience was similar. The first few weeks though I had strong cravings especially after certain activities or at times when I'd have normally lit up. I did smoke a few here and there during those weeks. But now I can't even stand the taste of a cig. I feel so much healthier in a lot of aspects

Hi, somewhat a newbie here.. 6 weeks ago I started vaping with the ego pens.I had been a pad smoker for 27 years and cut that in half with vaping.this past Saturday I went back to the local Vape shop and he introduced me to sub ohm. After explaining things for 30 minutes he sold me an Atlantis for 35 and a mvp 3.0 for 60. I was hoping it wasn't wasted money. He also told me to try 6 mg nic. Wow what a difference, I found my sweet spot at 25 watts and have zero desire to smoke... Am I in for a shock or will this stay easy to stay off cancer sticks?? I might add he threw in a 5 ml tank in the deal
Well I had my first strong urge last night after receiving my bimonthly gift from the wife, but I reached for my Vape made some clouds in the bedroom and rolled over and slept like a baby. One week down and a healthier lifetime ahead...

I quit smoking the same day I purchased my setup. Once in a while I get some puffs from my wife's cigarette. It tastes so gross, that I never feel the need to pick it up again. I'm surrounded by cigs but it is easy for some reason to stay off it when vaping.
I guess what helped me was my interest in educating myself about vaping, trying RBA decks and so on. It became a hobby almost and it shifted my attention from smoking.
I'm still amazed on how easy it was.

I will admit it wasn't easy for me. I went to a B&M and picked up an eGo kit and a low level of nic at the insistence of the sales person. That was about 2 1/2 years ago. I never was happy nor satisfied with the taste and didn't feel like it was smoking. Long story shortened. I returned to the same B&M talked to Michael and he recommended a better setup, higher nic level and was extremely encouraging. This was in mid-February. On my birthday, I had my last analog. I was down to about a 1/2 pac a day by then and ready for a change. Like others have mentioned, I keep a higher nic ejuice for when the cravings are high and I'm tempted to pick up an analog. My sense of smell and taste are returning. I can't say if my wind is returning as I am disabled and can only walk with a cane, but I am enjoying a smoke-free lifestyle. I would recommend finding a friend that is familiar with your life change and can offer encouragement. This forum can also be a great resource, too. Keep on vaping! Oh, Michael and others at the B&M have become friends and it is a joy to visit and keep current with the new gear that is now available.
