So it turns out that I keep trying new flavors. I'm wondering if it will slow down where I get to like...6 or so flavors that are enough for me. I mean... every morning it's a huge decision as to which flavors I wanna vape. I'm wondering if I'll get down eventually where I have a good 6-10 and that's it. How has it worked for you. I'd say I like about 50 percent of my juices. I got about 100 bottles now lol

Technically, it never ends. I've been vaping 4 years and I always figured after I got everything I needed to start, it would be good enough. Fast forward 4 years and I've easily spent thousands of dollars on diff mods, juices etc. It's an addicting hobby. There will always be somthing new you'll see and want. It's great. lol

Vape on!

Well, there's always new stuff to try, if budget and (lack of) willpower allow. But to your question about whether it's possible for one's juice tastes to "settle in" to a handful of standbys, yes, that's possible. I spend about $20 a month on juice now, and it's all stuff I know I like. When finances permit, I occasionally buy a new juice or a new piece of gear, but it's no longer the frantic hunt it once was. You'll know once you reach that point, and I think everyone does reach it eventually. The difference is, some of us are able to stay there, due to satisfaction or lack of funds, and some people *enjoy* hunting for the next big thing. Nothing wrong with either approach (as long as you can afford it), but yes, it's possible to reach "fully satisfied but occasionally curious".

This pretty much sums it up. Unless you're someone who feels the need to have the next "hottest" mod/RDA/RBA/juice, you eventually slow down your purchasing.

Yes,......and No.

The purchasing will eventually slow down, but I'd say you are probably pretty early in the process. Part of the key right now would be to look through your stack and decide what is really a keeper and why. You say there are 50 that you really like and 50 you don't like so much. That is pretty par for the course, I'd say. I have found that my tastes do change over time, and things I didn't care for 5 or 6 months ago are things I can't get enough of. And there are some that I knew the second I filled my first tank that it was a complete waste of time and money.

Take your pile, separate out the likes from the non-likes. Something you absolutely hate could be someone else's all day vape. Throw the ones you are certain you are never going to use up on the swap thread. Take the ones you like and perhaps cut them in half. Put the other half away. If you start "missing" a flavor, you know for sure it is something you probably want to keep around. If you go a month and the ones you've put away are still not very appealing, you might decide that they need to go up for swap or treasure chest as well. Keep paring down until you can really figure out what you can't do without.

....hope that helps a little.

sorry for answering a straight forward question with so many words but take what you like and leave the rest.

take advantage of ECF E-Cigarette Coupons - ECF E-cigarette Forum Coupon Codes Directory and try retail me not, etc. look for *upcoming holidays* that most vendors will promote and buy then. try not to pay retail.

keep a *running tab* of what you're spending and when. friend every vendor you can think of on facebook. buy sample packs. find b & m's in your area and sample there so you don't even have to buy sample packs. if you know that you are the type of person that might like to DIY then start slowly because if you try to buy a lot, it adds up but pays off big time. if you don't think you want to fuss with it then don't. if you love carto's they are something you will have to buy over and over. maybe a rba would save money in the long run, it will. if you go to a b & m to sample juice see if they carry an rba or tank that you're interested in. ask them to show you how to make a coil for it then ask if you can try. if ya like it cool. i want a kayfun lite so bad i can taste it, $99. or, i could buy a clone for $30 but practically everyone has a different opinion on clones. if i get confused i let it go for a while. kayfun is very popular but i don't want a clone so i will have to wait. order, with others, what you need direct from China.

f you have to flip a coin on whether to buy vape stuff or pay your power bill or ship your kids to foster homes then you are in deep trouble. :) if you suddenly really start spending heavily ask yourself, why now? maybe you were stressed or depressed so you needed to exert some vape mail therapy. next time you're stressed, you know what not to do.

maybe if you see that you're spending way more money on vapes than cigs it might be an excellent time to ask why. a new groovy mechanical comes out and it's functional and a work of art. save for it first. postpone gratification.

i also get in trouble by watching random reviews, esp phil's. he says you don't have to buy everything he reviews but it's still tempting.
you want to know how i screw up? i spend too much time here so i don't come here as often. that new juice vendor just sounds so tempting and when is the new provari coming out because i'll have to get another--i won't. if i don't buy a kayfun then there will be other reviews on an even better rba that is $10 cheaper. you will 'need it' too. just know that when you buy it, it will be the same thing because there are so many things coming out of china that you will never keep up. never fails.

budget your money for living. i bought a provari 3 months after starting vaping. expensive up front but it stopped my spending on mods in it's tracks. but you will want cool drip tips and damn that new tank looks great on your device.

our kin folk back in the day lived thru the great depression and didn't have a pot to piss in but now americans want it all. we make very little in the US but we support china. lastly, do you have a secure job?!! if not, you might want to be happy with what you have. ps..no job is secure.

if you have money in the bank to make this a great hobby, it is, then spend away. but still, don't pay retail. there's is no price protection in this industry. if you drop $200 on a device and it goes on sale for 20% off the next day, a holiday, then they won't give you your money back.
the one thing that has saved me $$$ was finding two all day vapes...why keep looking except now and then.

you will probably save money on medical bills so we can always 'justify' buying more.

if vapers don't do what CASAA suggests, we could lose vaping. write!!

I don't want to be a downer but it really is up to you. Did you start vaping to get a new hobby or to stop burning tobacco? Personally, I've seen tons of vaping gear that I would love to have. I've also seen a pretty damn nice boat I'd like to have too! That's life, a bunch of choices and you in the driver's seat, making the calls.

Make it easy and just set yourself a budget that is less than what you were spending on tobacco and stick to it!

Exactly this. You can make it as inexpensive or expensive as you wish. Set a budget, if the cost concerns you, and find a few flavors and devices that "just work" for you and leave it at that. Otherwise, if money is no object, have a great time and spend what you will.

Even when you have 10 or 20 juices you like there will always be that nagging possibility that one of the hundreds you have yet to try could be the one you're really looking for, the "holy grail" of flavors, so no....it never really ends. DIY is really no better. I produce my own NETs (naturally extracted tobaccos), and of the dozens of tobaccos I have processed I have found four pipe blends that I really like. However, there are hundreds of pipe blends I have yet to try and perhaps one of them could be the "perfect" blend so....it never ends. :)

I keep buying from Fasttech and don't know when to stop. I've been cig-less for about 5 months now. I've got 700ml or more of juice on hand. Most now in the freezer. And I still want to buy more. Dekang Apple. Hangsen Juicy Peach, Juicy Fruit, Blueberry, Strawberry. Dekang Kiwi! Just lots of stuff and it's all good. I'm also addicted to Madvapes Top?? stuff in Icicle Apple also. I am slowing down though. I've made it about a month without any new purchases. I was spending $300 a month on cigs, so I spent like $150 a month on e-cig stuff for 3-4 months and now I'm good to go for a while. But I still want more...LOL More backup twists cuz I keep giving mine away to n00bs, more Dekang Kiwi, more of the fasttech pre made wick/coil things. More of the 2ml H2? G4 tanks for cheap. I love it compared to buying cigs.

hahahaha.....You know what? Look at it this way. You just spent my monthly vape budget....*in a DAY*!!! . And I am reducing the budget. Last month I spent $25. Challenge your self. How low can you go? ;-)

What is this holly grail you speak of? When I first decided to not smoke I found a apple pie. It was so good, warm, and tasty it would give me goose bumps and curl my toes.. After a week or so my taste buds changed from not having cigs I never could find it again. I started to look for the pot of gold. Every time I get close those darn Leprechauns keep moving it

Look at DIY to save money. Not that you will, but you sure will have a lot more juice. (260 bottles of flavorings, a liter of 50/50-1.2 base, and all the trimmings...so why do I vape a single flavor mix??) One of my favorite vapes is plain (no flavor - just vg/pg & nic).

It never ends...

Rowdy, you put your finger on the wound. I've been using almost exclusively my DIY juices for several months now. I have some 30 flavorings but basically use only 6 or 7, and of those, 4 are the only ones I've refilled. The rest were for experimenting. Better yet, my true faves are NET's from the two dozen or so pipe tobaccos I have in stock, and a few others from herbs, teas and fruits. Last night I placed to macerate in PG some orange peelings that I had been drying for a week. In another week it will be a full flavored 30% concentrate ready for my "Orange Martini" juice —just add your desired base and 5% Dry Vermouth and 5% Gin.

In sum, DIY is the way to go.

Str8, please share. My present faves after long steeping are the NETs from Stanwell Melange and from GLP Haddo's Delight. I'm also heath extracting Balkan Sasieni and Samuel Gawith Perfection, two great Balkans for vaping if you like real tobacco taste. I must resupply Melange and Haddo's as I used the remains of my last tins for the NETs. :)
