On a kayfun or 1:1 clone where the chimney tube slides up into the top cap, 26mm is the shortest you can go and everything still all screws together. There have been reports of some clone owners needing to cut/grind down the tube (or bottom of the drip tip) slightly to gain the small needed clearance... what clone(s) in particular, I can't say.

Wow thank you for such quick answer.

Will this 1-piece clear tank shorten it more than the 3 piece nano kit ( 2 SS rings and pladtic mid section) will?

The 1 piece tank setup indicates that the length is 26mm.
The 3 piece setup indicates that the kayfun will be reduced by 10mm..not sure which setup is shorter..

Sorry to contradict but this is wrong. I have several of the Mini kits and I have chosen to keep the stock chimney. As long as you keep the stock drip tip on the chimney will fit inside it. If you don't well then you'll need a shorter chimney.

I've heard this only works on certain clones, and for some reason never attempted it on my own.
And if it requires the stock drip tip, thats a deal breaker for most.
But thanks for reminding me, and giving me a curiosity project for my next cleaning. :)

It work on my real KFL+ as well as my EHPRO clones (and if you're going to buy a clone do yourself a favor and get this one). I have had success with the chunk tip from Cigtechs as well as several others that have a large bore at the base. I just wanted to let the OP know the shorter chimney is not required.

Proper installation of a Nano kit INCLUDES a shorter chimney. Use it or not is up to your configuration(Attempt) but It should be included.

As to reuse old to keep the original drip tip - irrelevant. Tip screws to the Top cap not the Chimney cap. There is NO purpose for having a long sleeve of stainless running up into the drip tip.

I use Wide bore Tips in preference. Plenty of room for a chimney pipe, but Why reduce air flow? I prefer the more open draw.

Use as big a bore tip as you like it will not change the amount of airflow as it all still has to travel through the chimney no matter what. That the same logic used when putting a high performance coffee can on the end of a stock honda civic exhaust system. LoL

Maybe I should have Spec'd - Free up air flow. The stock tip and Tiny air hole on the end is a Definite restriction. Instant drop in resistance is noticed when replacing with ANY more open Tip.

Nice analogy - Got over that stupidity before it ever got popular. I'm ex- Auto Accessories Business owner and hated the Fart cans from Day one.
