Standard Joytech battery are regulated ( can't remember- either 3.2v or 3.4v). Should stay the same through the life of the charge.

Other ego type batteries are higher voltage but drop down.

This is a standard ego type battery, not vv or twist.

I'll move this to ego discussion.

Early joye eGo batts before the eGo-t, eGo-c and eGo-c upgrade batts were regulated but not set at a constant - like the eGo-c's and the eGo-t upgrade batts of today. Earlier eGo batts would lose some power as they lost charge.

And yes, a battery that is losing voltage will change flavor - if it's a lighter flavor, you may taste more flavor (depends on flavor) - if a strong flavor, it will lose flavor or become tasteless.

sounds backwards, low battery more flavor on a light one...ha......but yes I believe it's my batteries for sure.....heading up to two yrs on a couple of them.
thanks

About 5 months ago, some of my first eGos (with the cones and 510 attys) started dying. One thing that was consistent, was that toward the end, the charge didn't hold for long - couple hours tops and when the charge ran out the white led would fade out towards the end of that charge. Never saw button leds fade like that. I've replaced all of those with the eGo-c upgrade batts. The earlier eGos were regulated to about 3.1-3.2V and the newer ones are regulated to the 3.3-3.4V range - the upgrade batts run that constant voltage in the one mode and the regular 3.7V curve in what they call the 'variable mode' without being a true variable voltage batt like the Twist.

With a Twist, with the 'right' flavor - say an Applewood or a cherry tobacco, you can get more tobacco by cranking up the voltage and more apple and cherry by dialing it down - such is the attributes of certain strong and light flavors.
