Does Nicotine Level Effect Flavor?

I recently went from an 18 to a 12 of my favorite juice (Ruthless EZ Duz It On Ice) and was displeased with the taste of the 12... Tastes more chemically and "tinnier". It also appears to have a lighter color. Would the decrease in Nicotine change the taste and flavor of the same liquid? Or may this be a batch issue (As they are from different batches)?

The vape shops near me all do their samplers in 0 nic, as does my husband, so I have tried it. The flavor is more prominent in the 0 nic than in other levels. I am guessing this is because the nic masks it to some degree.

I also have dropped my nic from 18 to 12 to 6mg and haven't really noticed any difference in the degree of flavor. Your choice of topper can also make a difference, Juice will be stronger in an RBA or dripper than a clearo, for example.

I use DIY e-liquid made from 100mg nicotine that I dilute and mix. I vape unflavored nicotine e-lquid.

Nicotine has a flavor and that flavor will vary by the nicotine source. Some have more taste than others ranging fro practically no nicotine taste to loads of it. The basic nicotine taste is peppery and experienced on the back of the palate or throat as "throat hit".

The 100mg nicotine base I begin with is clear. The yellow color comes from oxidation of nicotine caused by exposure to oxygen and sunlight. Some nicotines are less oxidized than others. Yellowed nicotine is more an indication of oxidation than nicotine concentration. Take a tank of clear nicotine juice and leave it in the sun for several of hours and I guarantee it will turn yellow.
