Hello everyone ,
I'm new to the forum and only just started the e cig route to help me quit smokeing . Im useing a e go T system with 1000
bats. Was just wondering if the Ohm had anything to do with how long a cart and/or a atty lasted.
Also what's the best I can expect or average so when I try and set up a e cig budget To get a idea.i smoked a pack to pack and a half a day and since starting the e cig I'm only using the e cig and haven't really put it down. So I guess any help with how much juice to keep on hand needs to be figured in with the equipment ?
I'm open to all suggestion right now I'm using a tobaco flavor and I have some black cherry that I think I like better . Sorry maybe I should split these up but didn't want a lot of new threads.
Thank you in advance and hope everyone has a great day.

An Atty should last you a month easy. Cartomizers, on the other hand, tend to start tasting bad after about a week. It really depends on what kind of juice you use. If you are using heavy juice, things will gunk up faster.

The "ohms" tell you the resistence of the coil. Lets say you vape at 3.7v: A low resistence (say 1.7ohm) coil will get hotter than a higher resistence coil (say 2.4ohm). With an eGo, because it is relatively low voltage, you should vape on a 1.7-2ohm coil, as a higher resistence coil may not create enough vapor. If you were to step up to a VV device and vape at 5 volts, you would want a higher resistence coil.

Ohms Law: Watts = Voltage*Voltage/Ohms

Using a LR cartomizer on an eGo is not an absolute, but is a personal preference on your part.
Many people like a warmer or cooler vape or use different resistance cartomizers for different juices. Depending on the juice, I either use low resistance (1.7-2 ohm) or standard resistance (2.5-3 ohm).

I always suggest that people try both and see what THEY like best.

Atomizers might last an hour or a month or a few months. They are entirely unpredictable. Some are built better than others. The good drippin attys, like Ikenvapes or Avid Vapers will usually last longer than the standard 510 attys from SLB or Joye. If nothing else, they're more consistent in their build quality.

In general, and all else being equal, a low resistance atomizer won't last as long as a high resistance because they're burning at a hotter temperature.

Cartomizers are a little different. They'll usually clog up before the coils actually burn out. You can usually count on a week or two, depending on how often you use one and what type of juice your're using. VG is harder on them than PG.

The average juice consumption, according to the polls taken around here, is about 3-5ml/day.

The largest poll I am aware of shows an average of 2-3.5ml per day...

Are you aware of other polls that show higher?

I will say this though, that poll I referenced was started quite awhile ago, before higher voltages became more mainstream.
I think if that poll were to be taken now, the results would probably tend to be higher.

No, you're right. I misspoke. I was thinking of that same poll and a 2-4ml range. You're probably right about an increase too. My consumption went from about 3-4 to 5-6ml/day when I started using a VV. 3-5 might be more accurate with all the tanks and VVs out there.
The next time I think of it, I will redo that poll and ask the moderators to close the old one with a link to the new one.
I think it's time to get an update on those numbers.
:)
