Does our vapor also contains nicotine for those around us?

Two separate issues- one, is there nicotine in the vapor?

Almost certainly. Studies seem to say "negligible," but that's not none. At a logical level, it seems to me that there MUST be some, but no studies have found it in levels that will be significant to bystanders.

Second issue- it's his car. I'd do the same. (And I always ask before vaping in someone else's house or car.) I don't know why it would bother him, but...I have a friend (a pastor) who doesn't like me to swear in his car. So...I don't. Just being polite.

Best,
Ande

Just to be clear about it, the nic in exhaled vapor would be less than the amount dude would get from eating some types of tomatos...and studies have shown that because of other dietary influences nearly 90% of all people, smokers and non-, test positive for nicotine in the bloodstream.

Easy enough to explain to him, but in the end it is his car ;)

His car, his rules. Sorry. As far as second hand nicotine goes, the anti-smoking propaganda machine has conditioned people to believe anything smoking related is evil. My wife won't let me vape in the house. It's not worth the fight. Outside with your vape-y self.

I've been married 20 years and I gotta say, I would battle the wife on that one. I know everyone's situation is different. But there is no smell, no smoke, all the stuff we all know about. It may be that she just doesn't like what you look like when you smoke or something psychological with that.

Everybody has to pick their own battles, I'm just sayin' I'd pick that one. :)

Maybe you could pick a spot in the house to vape with an air purifier by the area to make everyone happy? I didn't smoke indoors but I happily vape with no problems and no smell with an air purifiers. Until we know more I'm concerned about clouds of vapor swirling around hubby's head (he has never smoked or vaped) in close quarters. I use high PG juice that creates less vapor in the TV room and a mini purifier. Gosh, it's so much better than asking to pause the show to go outside in the heat to smoke, returning smelling putrid. I don't believe he's getting nic in his lungs but without the purifier he would be inhaling my flavors and VG/PG second hand.
