Does anyone worry about clouds of vapor inflicting nicotine on your family?

My roommate, a non-smoker, non-vaper and science teacher, reasoned to me that the air in metropolitan areas with all its pollutants and particulates is doubtlessly much dirtier than the vapor I blow out in our room. We were actually talking about the possible ill effects of inhaling wicking material particulates, but I guess his point can also be considered in this thread.

Humans adapted to large amounts of smoke around campfires thousands of years ago. As long as you're getting enough oxygen, even smoke is not harmful. It's the chemicals in the smoke that are harmful, none of which are in our vapor. You may find this interesting:

Nicotine in vaping quantities are not harmful either. Nicotine is used to routinely treat at least seven major illnesses right now. It's in our food, spinach, cruciferous veggies, etc. Everyone ingests nicotine on a daily basis. Don't worry, be happy.

Breathing while in the smoke off your grill.
Breathing the smoke form burning food on the stove - especially greasy food like bacon.

You will never convince me that smoking a brisket, a slab or two of ribs or a pair of whole chickens is harmful. And bacon? BACON?

SRSLY?

At the risk of having this thread spiral off into a bacon loving festival, that picture looks darn tasty. I'd like some bacon vape. For a chain session here or there. Mmmmm

I don't worry about my vapor hurting others, but I'm willing to indulge their concern as long as they're not ...-hats about it. I ask if it's ok when I'm in someone else's home. Out on the street, as long as it's legal for nasty analogs to be used, no one best say a word to me about my vapor.

Hi, I'm new here. I just started vaping a week ago and am elated at the vast difference! Already my smoker's cough is nearly gone. I was so happy at the idea of getting my nic fix indoors again that at first, I went a bit crazy vaping in the living room.:vapor: Then my son walked into the room while it was filled with massive vapor clouds. I began to wonder if those clouds were filled with uningested nicotine and whether my son was inhaling that nicotine! I began to think that if he could smell the flavor, he was probably also inhaling the nic. I don't want to make my son addicted to nicotine! I started vaping 0 mg nicotine e-liquid in rooms where he goes just to be safe. What are your thoughts?

Here is a fun article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/15/nicotine-in-vegetables_n_1597087.html

It talks about how the majority of vegetables we eat have surprisingly high amounts of nicotine in them! So if you ever made your kid eat his veggies then you shouldn't worry about him breathing in some stray nicotine

Okay I am totally kidding. I don't have any children but I would probably be worried the same way. But my point above is still valid in the sense that "nicotine" by itself is not as harmful as the media tells us it is. The majority of the issues with nicotine is that it is "addictive". BUT, according to the study above, your sun is already exposed to nicotine in higher doses then you are aware. So compared to the extremely very very small amount of nicotine in the air (which you have no idea how much his lungs will actually absorb) I would assume he is fine :) I will admit I am not a scientist so I have no proof. But simple logic shows that nicotine consumption isn't the problem. Analog smoke compared to vapor is the problem. And you have already made the good choice of smoking vapor rather then analogs :vapor:

And smoking vapor is so much easier to do than smoking "spinach, cruciferous veggies, etc." I just can't keep them lit and they taste like yuck when I do get them lit. Ok, I know that was stupid, but my brain is on a caffeine high so I can't be held responsible, right?

I need to know what the picture is and how to fix it. I really need this, folks. Like now.

Not so nice.

My dogs and cat seem to like the vapor. I exhaled at the cat and her little nose just twitched away. I think she likes RY4 the best. Dogs do not mind at all. They sneeze whenever they are near cigarette smoke. It was one of the reasons I wanted to quit again. They even sneeze when I am on the patio smoking. Can't even smoke outside with these sensitive critters. God I love them! I have to post a pic of one or both of the Pit Bulls snuggling up with our little 5 pound hawk stalking (and catching) cat. Take that you Pit Bull haters! I have two of the most lovable dogs in the world.

I did worry, and then I didn't, and then I did again...but to be honest...How can vapor that IN the liquid that is vaping that has less than 2 percent nicotine be harmful? Havent we been told that nicotine is equivalent in harm to caffeine? I don't worry that my soda or coffee will harm others...so mostly, I have come down to NO, I don't worry. If someone doesn't like it, I move further out and do it. But I love it and it is seriously saving my life!

I did the right thing and smoked unfiltered Lucky Strikes in our nursery. It really built up their nicotine immune system. At first it was weird hearing a preschooler with a smokers cough but a few shots of Benedryl took care of that. The side benefit is that I may just be raising the next generation of Lugey spitting champions of the world. My little one, just 6 now, can hit 60 to 70 feet without even trying. His older brother doesn't have his distance but makes up for it with dead eye aim. He hit a flyer dispensing hipster liberal the other day in the middle of a crowd at the mall hocking one up a floor, through the railing on a moving escalator. As a father, you can only imagine my pride Now that I am vaping, the nic in the air doesn't bother them at all but they have to dig a little deeper to really put some heat into a shot.
