Hello,

My girlfriend and I have the older 2.5's without the air slits in the top cap.

Currently, I am using nautilus' and girlfriend is using AeroTank so it is not a issue, currently...

We have a couple of old carto tanks that did have airflow problems sitting on our ProVaris' which is why my girlfriend went with the Aerotank. Her Protank 2 just did not have sufficient airflow to work.

My question is: Does anyone know if the ProVape Beauty Ring provide sufficient airflow for the older type carto tanks to work? I am thinking of sending in our ProVaris' to have the top cap replaced with the new ones that have airflow slits in case we want to use the backup carto or Protanks.

Thank you.

The best backup for a nautilus is another nautilus :D, especially since they released the new vertical coils.
ProVape sells the stainless and hollowed out sleeve versions of the Nautilus tank, to make your Nautilus more durable.

But enough advertising and onto the content of your post.

I have the beauty ring you speak of, and I don't think it provides airflow, the dimpling is purely for aesthetics. Some tanks will still ride a little high, even with the beauty ring, so that will provide SOME airflow.

But really, the beauty ring is designed more to allow larger tanks to have a flushed look with the ProVari, the Nautilus looks great atop the ProVari with the beauty ring. The diameter of protanks, if I'm not mistaken, is smaller than that of the ProVari, rendering the beauty ring unnecessary.

But my knowledge on the topic is limited. I've only tried the iClear 30B and Nautilus with my ProVari, and the iClear didn't need the beauty ring, if I'm remembering correctly.

I've heard from reviews, including the one from indoor smokers, that said that ProTanks do not allow for sufficient airflow to be used with the ProVari.

I have ProVarii with both top caps. For the ProTank2, I can only get it to work correctly on the new topcap. For the old one, they say to use the aero base, but it didn't work for me.

For the carto tanks, if you have flanged cartos you will be fine with whatever you use. For unflanged cartos, you will need to just play around and see what works. I haven't actually used any carto tanks in a few months, so I also haven't tried them with the ProVape ring.

I use IBTanked carto tanks, and the Provape beauty ring doesn't allow much air flow at all. Sort of like sucking on a milk shake straw. As Trypno mentioned, the grooves in the ring are purely aesthetic. There is no benefit to the ring other than the flush look.

If you'd like to use carto tanks, I highly recommend the Innovape M1 beauty ring. I received it just last week, and it is absolutely amazing. It creates a nice flush look, and allows for the perfect amount of air flow. I really can't gush enough about it.
