The mod itself is shorting out.
(the first place I'd have checked would be the switch, but I think you checked that)

The second place I'd check is the 510 center pin and threading. It's one of the things I hate about the 510 thread system being used all over the !@#$%^& place. The positive center pin is literally only a fraction of a millimeter from the negative 510 threads. It's just the nature of the 510 thread interface which is quite suitable for cartomizer cigalike things but most inappropriate for big battery mods.

If I could return it I would, but I bought it off of Ebay and the seller has a 2 week return policy. I got what I deserved I guess. Suffice to say... screw Ebay. ;)

That sucks! If there is a defect they should take it back....one thing for buyers remorse... But a huge difference between remorse and a defect!!!

From what I've read the top pin is what is grounding... So a little work with a file you should be OK :) most of the reviews are excellent... It appears this only happened on a limited run.. ( I'm assuming both FT and Infinite used the same source on this run ...it just sucks you got stuck with one of these :(

Got to come back and read this one when I'm off work.

Can't believe someone can keep doing the same thing expecting different results.

A short is a short - you Stop and do not use any of the Components until you confirm WHAT IS shorting, WHY it is Shorting and CORRECT the short.

Repeat after me - Multimeter is your friend.:)

Well I filed the pin down and it's working like a charm now, not that I really trust it yet. I've got some ShortStop fuses coming just to be safe. This whole incident has kind of made me paranoid of my mechs now.

Let this be a warning to people looking for Panzer clones! Just... say... NO!

It's not so much an issue with the panzer; it's the 510 interface itself; all 510 connectors suffer this risk because the positive center pin is barely a fraction of a millimeter away from the negative 510 threadwell; all you need is a bad batch of insulator rings in a factory and a whole bunch of mods will come out with a potential problem. Even a pretty good mod will like end up with the insulator ring either dryrotting out or chemical breakdown from heat and time eventually.

That's why there are hybrids, - no 510/ego interface at all; you have a positive center pin separated from the negative tubing by almost a finger width.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you mech isn't out to get you!

The seller may have a 2 week return policy, but if you used PayPal for payment, you're covered for 45 days. If you're within that time frame, you can open a resolution case.
