does steeping start after you add flavor?

I made a small 2ml batch last night that is rather peppery. I hadn't notice that on any other batches. And this one actually had a lower nic level (20mg) than my previous ones. I am using 70PG/30VG. I am assuming it needs to steep if I make more. But if I mix up a large batch of just the nic/PG/VG and let it set does it steep or does it only matter once you add the flavor? I figured I would make some premixed rather than adding those each time I make something. I mean I may as well do that anyway but I'm just curious when the steeping begins. I assume once you add the flavor.

Also my husband is complaining that his throat hurts a lot. I've told him to drink more water. Any recommendations on helping that? I considered adding more than 30%vg but then wouldn't I need to add PGA to thin it out? I figured that would make a stronger TH and make it worse. And no he doesn't like menthol so that's not an option. :)

what did you use. I want peppery

Eww. :) Well I actually think it may be me and not the juice. I have been trying to drink as much water as possible (to the point where I have to get up in the middle of the night) but by mid-day I think my mouth is dry and everything just burns. I don't like the pepper burning. I just made a 2 ml mix with 4 drops of a tobacco fl, 1 capuccino, & 1 MTS vapes. Seems ok until later in the day. I thought it was the mix cuz I mixed it last night. But I think it's just me. Going to try a VG mix next.

Oh God that hideous peppery, burning exhale :( ... Blech is right! I started vaping with no-nic juice, because I was still weening off analogs, and I don't want too much nic in my system, I opted to stay away from nic juice ... Well, about two weeks ago I decided that perhaps I should have atleast one bottle of nic Ejuice (12mg) just in case I had a nic-fit one day, BIG MISTAKE for me. The juice (DK-Tab) has this overwhelmingly hideous peppery burn on the exhale, and at first I thought the vendor actually added pepper to the juice, but then I started thinking it was the nicotine even though its a low level.

So after reading this post, I believe my suspicions are correct, and that horribly irritating pepper burn is from the nicotine! ... Why?? Is this the norm, or did I just order from a vendor who doesn't know what the hell he is doing? Because aside from the excessive pepper the DK Tab was mixed much too strong ( and I like strong flavor, but this was a pungent, nutty mess).

Since this was my first nic e-juice I ever vaped, maybe this pepper burn is normal ... I dunno
