I've seen this methond used on cartos with a 808 battery connections but have never seen a 510 carto to demonstrate this method. Any thoughts???

Works fine for me - I do it all the time on regular-sized 510 cartos. I usually use a syringe for mega-cartos, but the condom fill should work fine for those, too.
Awesome. I'm thrilled to have found this method as I sucked at dripping into the carto to fill it. I'm not the most patient person so this method is right up my alley.
So let me get this right... with the 808 type cartos, they fill it from the battery connection end. Is this the same with the 510 cartos being they have the pertruding battery connection?
NO I do not fill my 808 cartos from the battery end, I fill them from the mouthpiece end! I am assuming the same would be done with the 510 cartos..
We are speaking of using the condom cap method and every video that i've seen has been done by pushing the battery end into the condom cap of liquid.
Is the condom cap method different than the condom filling method? I use condoms to fill my cartos and would never fill from the battery end because I don't want to ruin my batteries.......
I guess what I am trying to let u know is that u have the option of putting it in either way. There are many threads about refilling and specifically about what end to put in for the condom refilling method here on ECF. I choose to put it in mouth piece first to keep the battery end as clean as possible. It is easier for me to get all the juice off of the mouth end than it is to clean in the crevices of the battery end. Also there is less juice to worry about ruining my batteries with. Batteries CAN get juiced (ruined).
I always fill mine from the battery end. I let them sit for a while after filling, then blow them out gently to make sure there's no juice in the center tube.
OK... everything is making sense now. I wondered about that juice on the battery end myself. That air hole doesn't get effected by being submerged in the liquid like that? My downfall to dripping has been I've never taken the time to drip around the edges but rather just drip and not care if it got in the hole or not. Needless to say, I haven't had a carto last a week yet.
As far as I know they are both the same. While I don't remember about cartos for the KR808, most of the 510 cartos have the filler recessed about a 1/4-inch from the top cap. If you fill from the mouth-piece end I'm assuming you would have to invert the carto with the condom on to get all of the eliquid into the carto...and then wait for it to absorb so it doesn't overflow when you remove the condom.
Needless to say, most people using the condom method fill from the battery end. And a paper towel or tissue is flexible enough to get into the grooves of the battery insert. (You can also periodically use a little alcohol on a q-tip to clean the threads.)
One contradiction: you ARE using sealed manual batteries, aren't you? If not...nevermind.

2. You can fill from either end. I pop off the soft cap and push the threaded end into the 1/2 filled condom cap and watch for juice to bubble up to the top of the filler. Then you remove the cap, wipe off the threads with a paper towel, kleenex, q-tip, etc. and blow gently through the threaded end to make sure there's no juice in the air hole of the carto. I always hold them up to a light to see if I can see all the way through. Put the cap back on and vape.
3. For mega cartos, I first push the threaded end of the carto and then I turn the carto upside down and fill from the mouth piece end (removed, of course). Then wipe the carto, blow through the threaded end, put the cap on and vape away. With these extra large cartos, you want to make sure all the filler is saturated with e-juice so there will be no premature death of the carto due to scorched filler.
Enjoy your new cartos and juice!

You can fill it from either end and it's the same with 510 and 808. I usually insert the open end into the end cap slowly and let the filler soak it up as I go. I do that until I see a drop of liquid starting to come through the center hole on the connector end, sometimes it takes filling the end cap a second time to get it completely full.
Once it's full I remove the cap, the suction from removing the cap will pull most of the excess from the center back out but just to be sure I blow through one end of the carto to remove any remaining excess. Then wipe the connector down to make sure it's dry and I'm ready to go.

One thing: If your cartos are really empty, especially bigger cartos you may have to fill a condom, push slowly down then fill the condom again until you get enough juice in the carto to make the filling slushy looking without juice pooling on top. Or you could fill a condom, push then drip to top off. Some of the bigger cartos hold a lot of juice.
