Does the Origen v3 have a peek insulator? Would you go down to .2 on it?

Hello everyone. I haven't been on here in a year or so. I get a new RDA once a year, so here I am again, on a grand new search for the greatest flavor RDA that can also withstand some high temperatures of heat for my everyday vaping style. My first interest is in an Origen v3, and I was wondering if it had a peek insulator, for my Yaeliq rda prior to this had delrin and it melted after almost a year of use on my hex ohm box, steadily building .2 and pushing it to 80 to 90 watts daily. The other RDAS I'm looking at are specifically the SONAR rda by MCV and the ZENITH RDTA by SCIENCE OF vaping that just came out. All of these seem that they can really bring out great flavors, yet can withstand sub ohm builds. If anyone has any recommendations on what RDA I should get out of the 3, or if they know IF THE ORIGEN V2 OR V3 HAS PEEK! PLEASE RESPOND! I really appreciate it! Last time I came to the forum in search of recommendations for my RDA last year, people here were so helpful, and although that RDA isn't functional now, it lasted me practically a year, whereas most people I know have RDAs where they barely even give the thing a good month of wear time on their device. THANKS SO MUCH!

Yes, the Origen RDAs use peek insulators...at least the ones on the 'inside'. I'm not 100% sure about the insulation around the bottom contact - but that's not the one exposed to high temps anyhow. I am very much a fan of the Origen RDAs! I have a v1, v2 and a v3 (I also have the v2 Origenny which I build with cotton and use as an 'auto dripper'). I'm am a long-time liquid mixer and there is only 1 other atty I trust for flavor accuracy and prominence as much as I do the Origens. For my money - they're the best flavor attys on the market (Though the Marquis and Veritas come pretty damn close).

The only other atomizer that I own (have ever owned) which is equal to the Origens in flavor is the Aqua v2. I know, it's not a dripper...at least not 'natively'...it does come with a dripper conversion kit. I test and do juice notes with it all the time. It has ceramic insulators! The flavor in both RTA and RDA mode is equally outstanding and matched only by the Origen. In fact, if I had to pick just one...it'd be REALLY REALLY hard...but I might just choose the Aqua v2 because of its versatility. I mean, it's basically an RTA and an RDA and it does both equally well

Now - I should point out 2 things - my Origens and my Aqua v2 are authentic - clones might be just as good - I just don't know one way or the other. I'm not an anti-clone guy... I have plenty of them, just not these! Also, as a juice maker and a self-proclaimed gearslut - I own or have owned probably well over 100-120 different RDAs, RTAs, Gennys, etc. I'm not bragging (in fact...if anything it's kind of embarrassing) - what I'm trying to illustrate is that I have used a TON of different attys, so I come by my opinions honestly...but that's all they are...my opinions.

PS

For me, I don't care for the Origens built below ~.3 - they just don't have the airflow for builds that low, IMO. .35-.38 is my 'sweet spot'. Same is true for the Aqua v2 - .35-.4 is its sweet spot for me. The Marquis and Veritas handle lower builds a little better (WRT airflow and chamber design).

Hope this helped a little - good luck!

thanks so much @manthe !!! Now my decision is all the more difficult!! Ah! I was currently looking into the Origennys, or however you spell them, as you mentioned above, particularly the newer ones that hold 4 ml, because they can use cotton and have bigger wicking holes. Sorry if my vape vocabulary isn't on par, for I'm not too into the "scene" of vaping particulars as you will lol. But it really does look interesting. And I like the idea that I can possibly sub ohm with that one and carry it around with me all day while I'm at work without having to refill. Sounds like a win-win deal with flavor and lack of filling.

And just as you were saying, I really don't like clones. I own 1 cloned mech mod. My first purchase of a mech mod was a cloned stingray. I owned a beautiful provari mini prior to it, went into a vape shop a year later without having ANY knowledge of mech mods being on the market whatsoever..lol.. and a woman hustles me into buying a mod, without evening mentioning the fact that there are clones and authentics on the market, and mine just so happened to be a clone. Well I haven't looked back from there.

I find it to be such a great gift to myself to purchase a couple of great authentic products yearly, and not consume anymore for the rest of that year, unless something will REALLY catch my eye, and that will really take a lot.

So anywho, I was looking into the origenny, like you said, if I were to build it between .35 and .4 and crank the wattage up to 75 or 80 watts, would I be looking at quite the unpleasant vape? Same goes for the origen dripper.
Have you ever tried the new snapdragon or gota dripper? I'm so confused as to what will produce better flavor. I had a Yaeliq rda that was bottom airlow and do believe it rings true that this does create better flavor, but what about a dripper like the goat dripper that has a small chamber? Will that triumph over that sort of design, also putting building technique and wicking into mind of course. Thanks so much!
