Does the USB stop charging when full?

Basically, title. I've read that you should never leave a battery charging over night somewhere but I can't remember where i read it.

I have two 1300 batteries and two 650's. Is it safe to charge them overnight while i sleep or gone from the house or should I always be there to take it off the charger when its done? Thanks!

They are lithium-ion batteries, so have a protection circuit in them to prevent overcharging. They will stop charging when fully charged.

I think the never leave them alone sentiments come from overheating and possibly causing a fire theory rather than over charging the batteries.

I rarely leave them unattended. Never really had a reason to.

I guess there's always the chance of a malfunction, but mine don't even get warm after I've left them on the charger for a while.
