Does the vapor smell at all?

The smell is about as strong as if you're chewing gum near. Those very close to you or with a very good sense of smell may be able to detect the scent. I was vaping in a bar last night, and my friend across the table was able to smell it slightly before she even saw the puff of vapor- asked me "do you smell any... incense?"
I guess she didn't appreciate my cherry-menthol* :p

*cartridge swap left a slightly mingled flavor for a moment, this wasn't intentional

Great! thanks for all of your replies. I haven't rec'd my new E9 yet (probably Wed). I'm so excited to receive it. My husband wondered if I smoke in the house (which I don't know), if he would be able to smell it. He doesn't want me smelling up the place. Now that Fall is here and the temps outside are in the 40's, it's not as easy to sit outside on the patio and light up - a bit cold, in fact.

I get the same reaction, yes, there is a smell. Yet my co-workers and my girlfriend who quit smoking when she got pregnant ten months ago all like the smell.

Edit - you wont have to worry about smelling up the place. There is a trace scent, but it goes away about as quickly as the vapor. It does not linger.

Generally there is no smell or lasting odor. I vape like a fog machine on disco night in my office and you can't smell it when you walk into the room. What most people are referring to is if they get in the direct path of the vapor or if you're in a confined space (like a car with the windows rolled up).

While in the car I've heard "What is that, cherry? That's nice." Or "that smells like a vanilla Tootsie Roll." Not, "open the #$@% window or get out" like you would with a cigarette. You generally can't smell it on your hands or clothing. I can only smell it rarely when I vape with friends if their vape crosses right in front of me. It's actually rather nice.

Tell your husband he should be happy for you and proud of you for getting rid of those disgusting cigarettes. The absence of "smoker's breath" will also be appreciated, I assure you.

P.S. So, yes there is a smell. And, no, there isn't.

I'm in the same boat -- this is my first weekend of in-house vaping.

My wife's so happy I've quit smoking she wouldn't complain about the smell even if she didn't like it, but she doesn't seem to notice it at all unless I blow vape in her face (as I did once, just to demonstrate).

If it's a big concern for him, try chain-vaping in the room the next time he's out of it for half an hour (in the yard or garage, or running an errand), and then ask him when he gets back if he notices the smell. Or ask him if he can tell which room you've been vaping in. If he can't, then you can put his mind at ease WRT the "smelling up the place" issue.
