anything can be modded! hahahaha.. but no really it looks promising but the problem is the amount of space that you would have to work with inside the space above the batteries. the usb connection is quite large on the inside of a small box like that leaving very little space to work with.

On that first one...assuming there is enough room.....the button could be moved and the connector put where the button is?
Mind you I know NOTHING about modding or electronics or soldering or....or....LOL. I did manage to make 1 3.7v 14500 box mod but I cheated and had another one to look at and copy LOL
I can copy just about anything, just don't ask me to explain it afterwards =P

Now if I can just fix this 5v box....grr I just don't know where this thingamajigger was connected to before it broke! LOL

You could solder an atty connector to a male USB plug, make it look real clean, and then use the USB port to power the atty. (Just an idea) You could even get different threaded atty connectors and attach them to male USB's. Then for instance going from a 510 to a 901 would be as simple as unplugging and plugging in a usb port.

EDIT: Not sure what voltage it puts out, but you would free up quite a bit of space by running a wire in place of one of the batteries, and putting a 14500 in the other battery space instead of a regular AA.

That'd make a trick little evercool, but I'd pull out the USB adapter and use that space. There're plenty of products out there that would allow you to smooth it over, or you could put a thumbwheel through that hole for voltage adjustment...
