I did a search and didn't see a thread dedicated to this so if I'm repeating, just redirect me. Please and thank you.

So...I'm reading some threads and doing research on juices...and throat hit is of course mentioned over and over. Is it just me....or is there anyone else out there that doesn't really care about the throat hit? I don't really recall one when I was smoking analogs and I don't really notice much now, unless dripping. Which I don't like because...of the massive throat hit. But I'm just curious if there are other vapers out there that are content with flavor and vapor but not so much concerned about the throat hit. Thanks ya'll :vapor:

What were you smoking that TH didn't bother you? Ultra lights? It matters to a lot of people. I bought some liquids from Vapemunki a well respected supplier of 'premium' liquids in the UK. Lots of people rave about them. I discovered after buying them and wondering why there was no TH that their liquids are mostly VG. Very nice liquids but akin to going from smoking Marlborough Red to smoking fresh air which didn't work for me at all.

You don't need TH? Rock on brother, but loads of people not only need it but expect it.

Throat hit is the lesser of my "needs". I prioritize flavor and vapor, in that order. The smoother the better is what I prefer, much like what I have later found what hookah provides. Hookah tobacco is filtered through a water pipe which removes any harshness and "throat hit", IMHO. I prefer what is called a "cooler vape". I use higher resistance coils (2.5 - 3.0 ohm) at normal voltages (3.6 - 4.4 volts).

I enjoy having a nice throat hit sometimes but I find that most of the juices I've had don't have much throat hit at all and the longer I go without smoking the less important throat hit is to me. It's different for everyone though. Sometimes I'll try a new juice and it'll have a nice throat hit and I will be pleasantly surprised.

TH was really important to me when I switched from smoking to vaping. It was also the hardest thing to lose when I went to zero nicotine juice. Now I'm used to no TH and I appreciate the very clean flavor that provides, but I do vape some nic once in a while and still appreciate the bite of TH.

Everyone is different and there's no one size fits all in vaping as with most tings in life. The nice thing is we can all set up our vapes as we like them ;)

I was smoking Marlboro Lights at about a pack every other day. I will admit...when I first started vaping with my eGos and their included clearomizers...I wasn't satisfied. From there I bought an Evod tank and that made me much happier. Before with my original setup...I felt like I wasn't getting "enough" of something. The Evod fixed that and I've tried to step up my experience with every purchase afterward. What keeps me from smoking is more the warmth of the vape and the amount of vapor I get. I'm not quite at cloud chaser status but I want to feel like I'm "smoking" with the output and the warmth. But a thump in my throat I don't think I've had....or maybe I'm just that oblivious. Wouldn't be the first time lol.

Oh yeah...I'm a girl :)

In short, only for those that prefer it and the different levels of such.

Would think that TH is below flav (happy t-buds) and vapor (clouds) on the priority list. But yes, there are some diehards that DEMAND a throat slam!

I don't ever remember worrying about flavour or vapour clouds when I smoked cigarettes but I sure as hell remember needing a TH and a nicotine hit.

See...that's the weird thing for me. I don't notice throat hit but my GAWD do I ever need to feel that nicotine delivery. I never really thought of throat hit before but that sweet tingly sensation of a cigarette, especially in a stressful situation, oh heck yeah I need that.

I used to smoke Marlborough Reds and a few other brands then Marlborough Light and I never really enjoyed them I just thought... get this... they were better for my health

I really missed the TH I got from other cigs. For me it's the same with vaping, no TH I feel like I'm just breathing in flavoured air with a nicotine hit. A pack of ML's every other day nope I'm not surprised you don't need a TH. It's neither a good thing or a bad thing it's just what you prefer but trust me many long time smokers need the illusion of a TH or it just doesn't feel right.

When I got off my 2.5 pack a day habit, I needed it. Now its several months later and i need less and less. In fact, as my throat starts to get irritated, I use less Nic...and more VG. I just balance it out.

I went from 24 Nic 50/50..now down to 10 Nic and 40/60....sometimes 30/70. Thats the beauty of this thing called vaping. You can taylor make it to fit you own needs.
