Does vaping cause the body to be acidic?

Acidic, yes. PG is broken down into pyruvic acid (glucose metabolism), acetic acid (ethanol metabolism), lactic acid (digestive) and propanal (possible ethylene precursor) How much of an impact getting vaporized amounts of (say) 10 ml of PG into the lungs each day would have, that would seem to be negligible. At least compared to body weight, drinking a single 360 ml cola or eating a 100 grams of chips.

Sure, regular tobacco burning and being inhaled can do all sorts of things to the body's chemistry, like even dulling hunger and so on. Vaping would remove those sorts of things.

But as far as PG; if you drank 20 ml a day and also vaped 20 ml a day (both of which being processed differently) it wouldn't seem either could do too much to the body's pH. There isn't much out there to scientifically demonstrate that though, clinical trials and so on.
