I've caught this happening with my Poldis, where I have been vaping on a battery for too long, and it's still vaping good and hard, but gosh, it seems like that battery should have gone weak a long time ago, but it hasn't. I take the genny off it, check the voltage, and I'm down to 3.61 volts! Yeow! I swap out batteries at between 3.7 and 3.8 volts. I try not to let them get down to 3.6, but it was still vaping good and hard. So what? No voltage drop? Every other mech I've ever used would have been vaping real weak by 3.7 volts.

There is almost no voltage drop, if the rice pin and contacts have their rhodium/silver plating intact.
Those 0.7Ω builds are going to drain your 18650 batteries faster. Possibly the ramp-up time for 26g. I used to drive my hour commute with an xtar charger in the car. Plugged into the ciggy lighter. Just dont leave your batts in the car

I don't have poldi's, but yeah, mechs with lower VD is often praised for it's "hard-hitting'ness", but the other benefit of low VD is indeed extended battery-life, as more current is available for the actual atty/coil, so you can discharge lower than usual... Of course this is only comparabel with identical batts, and atty-resistance, and better felt with low resistance...

Well so far the .7 builds have functioned remarkably well, ramping up the 26 kanthal instantly, and I get several hours of vaping out of an 18650 VTC4. I carry 8 of them with me at work. Never had to use all 8 of them, no more than 5 of them in a 22 hour shift.

BTW, how do you get that ohm symbol on your keyboard? I don't have a key for that.

I have a Greek keyboard, Russian/Ukranian, and English. Iphone. Oddly enough, i can never find the squiggly over the 'n' in Spanish.

Belay My Last. Stick to Nitecore chargers. I took the back of my xtar charger off, to see if it was possible to reattach spring to battery sled. The whole plastics of the xtar are really chintzy.

I read something, maybe on the Poldi forum. That you can use a thick wire (maybe copper?) to make a 'rice-pin', if your rice pins go bad or lost. But double-check on material, as i am not sure.

Just picked up 510 bases for Temon attys at FedEx. I have Temon hybrids for couple yrs. Really like them, just not 14500 batteries. Thick wick like Standard Did. But about same body width and length of the Mini-Did. I'm gonna build one this weekend, and use it on the Chi-Poo or my Sub-Box, depending upon if i wind up going a little sub-ohm with it.

Whittling down what i keep in rotation. Stocking up on 100mg nic, and saving the integrity of my gear. Don't know what fate our beloved hobby shall suffer:(
Peace, Annie
