Does your REO deserve hazard pay?

I subject my REO Grand and the RM2 to a daily sawdust storm. I build redwood adirondack furnishings in a small shop without the latest in sawdust collection technologies, to say the least. I vape all the while in my self imposed sawdust storm and the REO just keeps on vaping! I just wipe it down now and again and that's it. It has never given me any problems - this thing is tough and dependable!

And I did just read about our esteemed fellow Reoville resident bushmaster report on his sub-zero REO vaping. If ever there were a REO that deserved hazard pay (not to mention the owner) this has to be at or near the top of the list.

What do you put your REO though?

Mine always seem to come home with metal dust (filings) all over the doors on the back side of the magnets.

You can see some piled up on top of the door in that shot.

My Woodville just went for a 5 day cruise, and was dropped way to many times down stairs, kicked down the deck and almost went scuba diving with me. Yes I did remember to put it away before back rolling off the boat, but it was close, hey it is always in my hand. It needs a visit to the Modmaster the whole atty wiggles, a lot. But not a scratch on the wood so stop baby those woods they are pretty tough.

Mine are all prissy little house cats. They've never been subjected to anything harsh or destructive. When I first got my first REO I'd drive in the car with it sitting in my lap. One time I hopped out of my car and it fell on the asphalt. Never again!!! Since then I've been supper protective (and neurotic) of my REOs.

Without a doubt. Dropped in the cab of my work truck more times than I can count. Dropped out of the breast pocket on the front of my coveralls next to wellheads when bending down to check casing pressure almost as many times (I try not to carry in that pocket anymore - almost lost my black wrinkle into a well cellar full of crude oil, and God knows what else and decided that wasn't such a hot idea)

I used my emerald green to open bottles at a BYOB sushi spot in Chicago last month, which worked, but is ill advised because it put some pretty deep gouges into the aluminum that definitely destroyed the finish. Oh well.
