Hi everyone,

So I've been vaping since November 2012...haven't smoked since December.
This weekend, my wife and I took the kids for a weekend in the mountains...we have some friends in Morzine, and they invited us to come spend the night at their place...
So we pack our stuff, ski clothes, equipment, etc...and of course, I pack my vaping gear: I taste MVP as a spare, 2 bottles of juice, an empty tank, vision rba, and my trusty kicked legacy mini as well as 3 separate batteries (no charger)

ANYWAY, we get to the mountains, unpack, and...yep...everything is here except the gear I preciously packed last night because my lovely wife whom I love and adore, decided to bring up a different bag, and didn't transfer my vapecase...Doh!

Basically, I've been vaping all day on a kicked 18350 and I have no idea if its gonna last through tomorrow...I doubt it'll make it until lunch :(
Anyone in Morzine right now with a spare 18350 or even an ego battery?

Thanks for reading through my rant,

Lou

Aah man, that sucks. Try to make lemonade, though. I would try to think of it as a lesson. A lesson that teaches you to always triple check the back ups for your back ups. And be thankful that it's only for a day. I can almost guarantee that you will never let something like this happen on a longer excursion after this. I know, I'm reaching to find that silver lining, but if you're only seeking empathy, I feel your pain.

I triple checked 5 times...never in a million years thought that it would be my wife that did it :) but it goes to show that a device like the mpv is gonna become my daily...

Now I know you are all sitting there, checking your email, waiting to see how it all went right?
Well I'm glad to say that it all worked out in the end...I adjusted my vaping and that wittel 18350, kicked to about 5v, lasted me almost 36hrs...

Yeayyyyyy!!!

Wow, that's gotta be a record. Nicely done!

You want more tales from that crazy Swiss guy with the 18350? Well you are in luck.
Last night, I went out to dinner with my wife and some friends. I decided to fill a new tank and a LR carto onto that same kicked legacy mini with a tabaco ejuice.
Well it tasted weird, like burnt. I'm pretty sure that's because the LR carto can't handle the higher voltage, but I wanted to try.
"Not much of a story there Lou" I hear you saying, and I agree, however that is not the story...that was just the precursor to the story.

In an attempt to "fix" this taste issue to which I made allusion above, and to further my own research into cartomiser vs voltage, I decided to, while walking from the car to the restaurant, remove the kick and the extra piece of tube...just to see if that made a difference.
So I unscrewed the extension, slipped out the battery, and BOING out flew the spring which hit my leg and bounced off to somewhere...never to be seen again

DOH!!!! I looked everywhere, but it was dark and wet and the spring is/was black and didn't want to be found.

Anyway, I slipped the battery back in, screwed the switch back on, and tried to vape...woohoo, it still vapes...the battery rattles a bit, but I guess all the spring really does is keep the battery from rattling. I thought it was part of the switch and that the mod wouldn't work without it. So glad I was wrong...so let that be a lesson to all you noobs like me, don't remove your kick while walking in the dark...you might lose your spring in the step :)

sorry to hear these troubles I'd be so angry.
I switch out my 18350 bat in my provari 3-4 times a day
If your bat dies and you cant vape, you could always make a vaporizer out of a lightbulb.

Now I wonder what the ohm's on a light bulb is..... And at 110w that would kick out some serious vapor..... Lol

Haha just take a bulb styled lightbulb and crack the black plastic in the metal screw housing. Pour salt in and swirl to remove the white phospherous coating, then wash the bulb out 5-6 times. Pour a few drops of your e-liquid in, light it from the bottom with a match/lighter and inhale :p

Wow...did you figure this out with trial and error? :)
Someone should come out with a winding type mod where you give it a few cranks to charge, and then get a few vapes...no batteries needed :)

The spring keeps your switch from staying closed while it will work with out it, think Id make a trip to the hardware store and get a replacement. Hopefully we dont see DOH thread #3 I did not replace my spring and popped my coil and had to go all day with no vape;-) We all have doh moments glad you sharing yours.
