Don question

Hi,

Has anyone tried to use 801 cartos on the Don as is without an 801-510 connector. I've tried twice and no connection is being made. It may be that the center post is just to short for that.

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks. ddd.

The center pin on the bottom of an 801 carto is adjustable. Use a paperclip or safety pin & just wiggle it out a bit. I use 801 cartos on my don occasionally & they work great

I tried it yesterday with an 801 atomizer (my Don is the ss one), I didn't fire. According to the info it can take: 510, MAP tank, EGO-T or XL STYLE ATOMIZERS using the 510 adapter.

I think there is an special adapter available to use 801 atomizers on the Don, check this link:

I have the SS Don too, but I also picked up a devoted 801 insert from electronicstix.com. The insert that comes with it doesn't have a post that is long enough.

Thanks guys. As I have the newer version, it comes with a connector that is 801 on the outside and 510 on the inside. But when I screw on an 801, it just doesn't connect...but it does if I use an adapter.

I can try to wiggle out the 801 connector, but I'd like not to have to do that.

I have the newer version also, but the external threads of the connector are made for an eGo-T atomizer, as you say, the 801 atomizer does screw, but do not make contact.

I had the exact same problem with my don and using the 801 cartos. I actually purchased an extra 510/801 fitting so i filed down one so its able to use both connections perfectly

but if you dont have an extra fitting i wouldnt recommend it lol

Will they be SSs'? A friend of mine that recently got back from Iraq wants a SS Don like mine. Also will you be offering the revised connectors on your web site?

Some of them will be, The SS is always less as they are more expensive to manufacture
