Now made a Chipin Page - which will hopefully make this easier

If anyone has a better idea - PP do do a donation thing - but to be 'free' and non-profit i'd need to provide documentary evidence - which ain't going to be possible - for me at least ;)

Fingers crossed this time tho ;)

Question fa Everyone - the doantions are arriving in my PatPal account in dollars - i've been convering to pounds - and think that Paypal is sbsorbing some in the process.
So should i keep it in dollars and then convert the dull amount - 1 transaction fee or carry on doing it individually?

The running total on Chipin is currently $308.95
My Paypal total is 181.98 GBP
So what would folk suggest as i obviously don't want the fund to be clobbered by transaction fees?

Going to repost a partial reply to a PM i received from Jackie - i'll understand if thee mods remove it as a breach in rules tho

Aloha Jackie
Hoping all's a bit more Harmonious with thee and thine?

I think thee underestimate the impact that UKV had on folks lives - the difference between becoming a 'competent' Vaper and a 'dying' smoker for some was the availability and Community of UKV - thy 'Baby'!

All though thee may not have been as active as previously, the spirit thee instilled within UKV was Friendly, Accepting and Kind - things which are just extensions of thyself.

The Hamper fund is just a small fraction of what folk think they have saved from making the switch and a measure of the Loss they feel at it's demise. It's important to them that they have the ability to Give something back to the person who made it all that possible - as part of their 'grieving process' if nothing else.

I do appreciate that thee may not wish to accept the Hamper - it is thine to do with what thee will - but a years supply of vaping bits is to me and many others the least thee do deserve - as a gamer if thee have spent 20 quid on a game that gives thee many IRL days pleasure - then that was 20 quid well spent. Well UKV gave myself and hundreds of others that same Value - we just are reciprocating posthumously

I hope that helps to convey to Jackie just what UKV.com meant to some of us and how her efforts were and still are appreciated by not just UKVers but the vaping Community as a whole - why UKV was attracting as many non-UK members

A Thank You from Jackie:
Guys 'n' gals, I am so very thoroughly humbled by your generosity. I met with Scott yesterday and spent a very pleasant hour or so with him while he presented me with the results of his very kind endeavours to put together a hamper full of goodies for me. Not only was there a hamper full of amazing gadgets and gizmos, there was also a huge box full of juice. Needless to say, I had something of a nic headache by the end of last night.

Honestly, I would never have expected this. I'm completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of everyone, some of whom I don't even know! Thank you all, so very much! I've had a smile plastered on my face (like some strange clown) since last night.

Also a big thank you to Wayne and the Vapefest crew, who very kindly gave me a 250ml juice voucher. I don't think I'll need to buy juice for quite some time.

Last but not least, a big thank you to Scott. Hope I didn't hug you too much yesterday.

I've got so much new stuff to play with, so many new juices to try (currently on Tutti-Frutti which I'm loving but would never have thought to try, lol). As I said, I'm so very humbled by it all, and truly appreciate your collective efforts.

PS. The personalised end caps on the Provari are wonderful, as are the personalised wooden boxes. One of the most special items in the hamper is the printed and bound 'guestbook' messages from everyone, which have made for quite an emotional read. Though every single item, large or small, will serve as very special mementos for me.

Thank you!!!!
