First thing ..Hello ! :toast:

Ive been a long time lurker of these forums and now ive decided to start getting involved. Been reading all the information posted in the forums and have been taking it all in with interest. I am a 25 year smoker and have been trying everything to quit. Tried Cold turkey...my boss said if i ever did that again I'm fired,,lol. Guess i was a bit miserable for a while it seems:oops:. Tried the gum..GROSS!. Tried the Nicorette inhalers...Nasty!. Nicotine patches irritated the heck of of my skin with little effect.

So after much research i decided to go the ecig route. It helped a close friend of mine quit a 2 pack a day habit after only 1 week and he swears by it. Im ready to quit but not ready to break the "habit" of having my morning puff while driving to work with my coffee or ready to quit the habit of having a puff while I'm gaming on my PC on the weekends.

either way this is the starter kit i ordered. Company came with good reviews and good ratings.

this is the site in Ontario, Canada i ordered from : Electronic Cigarettes Canada - E-cigarettes Online, E-liquids and Electronic Cigarette Products

and this is the package :Starter Kit - Lite

I ordered the Canadian Tobacco flavour to start.

I know this isnt the top of the line model of ecig but i figured cost was reasonable. I get 2 Ecigs and enough juice to last me a month -5 weeks maybe.

Anything anyone want to add for a new user. What to expect or tips. I will be posting back when everything arrives and ive charged them up fully and give it a first run. If im real brave i might even do a youtube video instead.

First,, welcome Crazy! The kit you ordered looks a bit pricey to me, but I don't know what's available in Canada. If it works for you, who cares? If you like it, you'll likely end up upgrading at some point,, hang around here for awhile and you'll discover that this is a huge help for getting the right setup. Be prepared to spend some more,,, we all do it

:toast::toast:Congratz on trying to quit analogs. :toast:

I am a cigar or was a cigar smoker. After my wife bought me my first ecig a few weeks ago, I havent looked back. If your fixation is on the nicotine then you will have no problem.
My jurney is short but it went from a gas station cig, to a ego battery with start dust clearomizers, bgoe attys and cartomizers to having a provari in the mail as we speak. This is in a 2 1/2 week period, mind you. So luvinit is right, you will spend more $$ and in my case I've spent 6x as much as I would on analogs but the $$ is no the consern here. Living a long and happy life is the concern, in my book. Cheers Mate :toast: and a few more for the road :toast:

Welcome to the forum, CrazyCanuk. I agree with luvinit..seems a bit much for the kit. But if it works for you, what are ya going to do. You may take a look around the Canadian forum: Canada Forum, and after 5 posts (and about an hour for the server to refresh) you can ask around there for good Canadian vendors. Good luck, mate!

Hello and welcome, we all have to start somewhere, as a novice I got what I thought was good at the time, I have been vaping for a year and I have changed to better and more expensive VP's, I am sure you will to when you are ready, this forum is a great place to get educated on all the goodies for vaping. good luck. BTW it gets expensive but when you health is more important, who cares.

Thanks for the Welcomes

I have been looking into some of the more advanced systems and did debate on the better version of the kit but thought it best to keep my costs down at first and see how i like it. I will definitely check out the Canadian forums and poke my fellow countrymen for some answers and info.

Im so desperate to quit smoking i will try just about anything. I am thinking vaping will give me the nicotine hit i "need" (for lack of a better term) and the vapour that i get to inhale and exhale will give me the visual trigger to complete the satisfaction curve. Hopefully combined this will be the end of analogs for me. I lost my father at 50 due to heart disease and watched many friends of mine deal with other nasty side effects of smoking long term( cancers, barely able to climb a set of stairs, etc etc)and neither scenario is something i wish to see myself in.

Just hoping 20 years from now we dont discover vaping makes people grow a second head and a third buttock..:?:8-o:laugh:

Isn't your username redundant?

Welcome, and best of luck!

You know what...your right.. hehe. We Canadians are a good kind of Crazy though.
