So it sounds like you're using a 3 piece ecig, with a battery, atomizer and poly filled cartridge. If you're not liking the taste of cartridge juice, you're not alone ;)

What some of us do is drip 3 - 4 drops of ejuice directly on the atomizer, which give 4 - 5 good hits. Then drip 3 - 4 more and continue. CAUTION, if you're using an automatic battery, that you draw on to activate, be careful not to drip too much juice because if it gets inside the battery it will ruin it. You'll get the hang of when to add more juice as you get used to the flavors...when it gets low I can taste 'metallic' but YMMV.

Other than that, there are cartomizers and clearomizers which both take many drops of juice, ranging up to about 2ml max, and can last all day.

Then if you get really adventurous you can use a tank mod, which can hold 3, 5 or even 8ml of juice and last forever ;)

HTH!

I am assuming you have eliquid, not separate nicotine and flavoring

I don't recommend you drip that much on the atomizer if you have automatic batteries. You could damage or kill your battery if it leaks through.

If you mean a cartridges that goes on the atomizer - you add juice to the cartridge until it looks damp but not a puddle. Nobody can tell you how many drops.

If you have had the 510 for more than week and have not cleaned the atomizer or the cart and stuffing it might not taste as good as when you got it.

If you have cartomizers (holds juice AND screw right on the battery) then you add as much juice as it will soak in easily, then clean it up to mae sure it won't leak, then put it back on the battery. Cartomizers have limited lives. I can get 7-10 days use out of one cartomizer with thin clear juices.
