Don't do it!

I am fairly new to vaping and I just wanted to throw out a lesson I just learned to people like myself. When I decided to start vaping I didn't do my research [mistake number 1] a friend who I had tried to quit analogs with a few times showed me this new device that was really gonna help us kick the habit this time. He said it was a fairly cheap device [mistake number 2] that he got from a friend of his that works at a gas station [mistake number 3] it worked well and the juice flavor was great. I asked what mg it was, he said 24 and that's the only mg available [mistake number 4]. So I gave it some thought, after he had told me that it was a mistic haus pv I proceeded to they're Web site. A starter kit was about 24 bucks and the juice was about 8.i ordered one kit and a bottle of juice and payed about 28 bucks with shipping and the 30% off coupon code [mistake number 5]At the time I thought this was a good deal[mistake number 6] the shipping was about 6 bucks for standard 5 to 7 business day shipping. So in my excitement I started looking around on YouTube to see what people had to say. The reviews are not terrible but I discovered for a dollar less I could of went to Walmart and bought exactly what I ordered with out the wait. Walmarts prices are actually cheaper than the mistic Web site. Now I'm not saying that this product is totally junk, of course I wouldn't know yet because after ten business days I still have yet to receive my order. Also when I ordered the products on my receipt or at any point in time I was never given a tracking number, I had to email the customer service department at the company. Normally I don't complain about shipping but the company is in North Carolina and I'm in new York. I know for a fact that I can drive there in 17 hours and besides when I pay for shipping that's when I expect to receive the order, if I didn't pay for shipping then I can't complain. So for new vapors, don't make my mistakes, invest in quiting, good equipment and quality juice.

Yeah.scammers everywhere. This is a fast growing business and there's a lot of research to do. Luckily bad news travels fast with so many sales going on and I'm sure you just helped to keep someone from getting screwed. I've been at this for 4 years and even had a DBA with wholesale accounts. So had to learn fast where not to tread. This site has a good large list of suppliers. Myvaporstore is one. My other 2 faves are Vape Royalty and Vivid Smoke and recently Ecigsupply. Got all my mix liquid stuff from Totally Wicked. Platinum Ice and 40 flavours of Gold Standard on one of there Yo-Yo sales at 38% off. Got the VG at the local herb store, $6 for 16oz...but recently got a tip from another member here for getting bulk VG at bulkapothecary web site.

Hope you get your stuff man, unfortunate things happen, just be glad it was only $28 and not a higher amount on a really nice mod. I mean, I'm cheap so I'd still be ...... off over even $5, but at least they didn't get you for like $50+ (assuming of course they are a scam). I try to stay local when buying things, it's so easy to get ripped off on the internet. But, if you browse around here and stick to recommended sites, or even eBay on some things, you'll be golden.

I started with 2 ego T's from ebay! I got the first liquid at a local outlet (ejuicemonkey.com) where I could taste test the juice flavors. Later, I ordered online and have been using Vista Vapors and ejuicemonkey.com to buy my e-liquids---they have really reasonable prices and most flavors are good. However, I have been at it a few months now and have tried several brands and have now settled on a few favorites that will most likely be my staples.

The only really bad experience I've had is a protank 2 being faulty. Since it was an ebay, from China product I just decided to keep it for parts rather than go through the hassle of sending it back. I've had several 'juices' that have not been to my liking, but that isn't necessarily the manufacturer's fault. It's just my taste, I guess.

Most the batteries (ego t, vision spinner, and one other) I've purchased are all acceptable, but I've yet to move up to the high priced (over $25) ones. (Unless you count the dry herb vaporizer). The basic cartomizers seem to be a waste, but was acceptable at the beginning until I tried the Aspire tank and the Protank 2 and the I clear 30s. (I like all of these.) These are all much better and supply a tastier, smoother vape. The tanks hold more liquid too. I am using up the old cartomizers (bought in lots of 10) by filling them with the odd flavors I've bought and want to use up--just to close them out---I can leave on a battery and switch it up during the day if I choose.

So, I really can't say I've been scammed other than the bad tasting e-liquids I felt I wasted money on. My experience has been a generally good one.

I did the gas station mod/juice to start out as well. Thankfully after only a few days that thing became a massive turd THE DAY AFTER the first brick and mortar opened up in my area. Thankfully the guys there were very noob friendly and knowledgeable. A short year later, I am using a Hexohm V2 and using nothing but rda's. Wouldn't dream of going back to analogs at this point.

Brick and mortar shops can be pretty dodgy too. one in my area not only has an average markup of about 500% over normal pricing but also is so ignorant they do things like try to sell me wire without knowing the gauge, resistance per foot, or even the material it was made of. i asked about the amp rating on a battery and the guy looked it up on his cell phone right in front of me.

there is a newer shop in my area that has much better prices but again the staff really seem to know very little. it worries me that the people selling a potentially dangerous device don't know anything about how it works, never mind the people they will convince to buy this stuff.

forums like this one can be a great way to expand your knowledge and understanding of vaping and all it entails.
