Don't Ignore the " Like" Button. Use it!

Use the Like button !!! It's that little blue word "like" down at the right hand corner of the posts. This tells people you like that post. Use it!

Here is why I think you should use it.

I have a rather long thread going currently, and I have noticed reading over the posts, that seeing who likes what better helps me to respond more effectively with the posters in the thread. Posters like to know if anyone is reading or liking their post. It encourages a sense of community. It encourages posting. It's a great tool to help us Grow.

Next time you start to read a long thread, think about the Like button and keep in mind who uses it and why. You will find yourself gleaning information about your fellow posters.

I agree! If I like a post.. am I suddenly gonna Not like it anymore? LOL Seems silly but I suppose if you get mad at someone you may want to unlike all your posts LOL.

the "unlike" comes in really handy when you hit the "like" button instead of the "multiquote" button

I can see where it would help a new person on ECF, especially if they are wanting to know specific information as well as PV's and parts.

I do alot of reading/responding on this forum from my phone. Maybe changing to unlike is encase you accidently hit the like? I know working from my phone, sometimes it is difficult to hit exactly what I want with the touch screen

Well like if I like using the like, likely I'll use it, unlike likable people not liking to likely use it unless they would like to! we need a like button to see how many likes a person likes to use the like button, not likely, like yeah!

if you go to a user's profile and look a little ways below the profile pic you can see how many likes a member has and has given
