My thumbS (yes, thumbs with an "s") are killing me!!! Right thumb started yesterday, so I started using my left thumb to squonk and today they both hurt......lol. Tell me it's just my under used thumb muscles getting a workout!

Just thought some of you would get a kick out of a new REOnaut having a problem.......lol Who knows, maybe some of you have experienced this.

I'm off to break in some of those little empty bottles!!! :p

The tip about boiling the bottles in water really does help to soften it and make it much easier to squonk.

What I do instead of putting the bottle in boiling water is fill my bottle with water(no need for cap) and put in the microwave for 10 seconds. You can do more short bursts if it isn't hot enough. I then just let the bottle sit in the microwave for a few minutes.
Empty water and fill with e liquid and return to reo.

Make sure the soreness is from squonking the bottle and NOT pushing the fire button too hard. It only takes a little bit of pressure for the fire button. There are some new users who mash down waaaaay too hard on the button. Hold it up to your ear and fire it; the minute you hear the sizzle, that's enough. Thought I'd mention that just in case.....

Ahhhh a clear-cut case of "squonker's thumb":D

The only remedy is more squonking to strengthen said thumb.

No pain, no gain.

Feel the burn!
Check out pbusardo's You Tube review of the MVP2.....he starts the clip doing "thumb exercises" with a pulley/weight device!!
We human Reonauts can just be thankful we're not COWS!!!8-o
How would a bovine squonk....without opposing thumbs!!!??
Probably why you don't see too many heifers with Reos......
They tend to stick to cig-a-likes.....:glare:
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Someone here uses a little foam pad in the squonk hole to make it easier.

I've been cruzing posts like a crazy person trying to find a pic, no luck yet.
Now that's a cool idea!

If you have an RM2 or similar atty, cover the air hole with your finger and draw in the atty without firing - the suction will bring juice up to wet the wick.
Great tip.........I'll try this!

Brilliant! Thanks! Will have to try it out!

My right thumb has been killing me to the point I have to use both my right and left thumbs and sit down my Reo when squonking. None of my other fingers beside thumbs are strong enough to squonk. The square bottles start leaking bad so I switched back to the standard bottle :(

My right pinky got calloused also from supporting the Reo's weight when vaping...maybe time to consider a mini as my second one once I saved up.

Thanks for the great idea!

Sorry for the long post.
