Now that I'm not sleeping with a pack of cigs and a lighter next to my bed, I thought I had a strange problem. You see, my old border collie sleeps at the foot of the bed, and I used to use my lighter to light the way and keep from stepping on or tripping over the dog. (think rock concert) It turns out that the blue light on the end of the battery works perfectly...not bright enough to wake up the wife, but enough to save the dog. The manual battery works better of course. Who knew.
